Haugen beat a totally shot Mancini, but could he beat the prime early 80's Ray?

If he fights to the same level that he did in the Pazienza rematch, he might.

Prime for prime Mancini was better. Maybe a late stoppage.

I agree. Mancini was better. I was at that Mancini vs. Haugen fight in April of 1992 in Reno. Mancini always came out to that song. " Boom boom out go the lights"

Mancini takes him in his prime. One of the most underrated fighters on this forum.

Tight fight this. I could see them splitting fights. Haugen is tough as hell and has some subtle skills.

Mancini lost his last 4 fights but he was a shell of a fighter after Duk Koo Kim tragedy. Prime Mancini who shut out Juis Luis Raminez and went 14 tough rds with a prime Arguello at 20 ys was a aggressive puncher with endless stamina and huge heart. This version out points Haugen.

He fought some good fighters though. Bramble was a bad style for him. Strong, switched and decent chin. Just the wrong style, and he gave him a good rematch. Hector, I thought he did ok with Hector.. Haugen? I was at that fight. Just to inactive. He didn't look good and Haugen sort of landed clean and hurt him often.

No, Boom Boom wins a unanimous decision by a good verdict. Greg wasn't as good ad prime Ray.

Mancini's style meant he was never going to have longevity , for a prime to prime I'd probably take Ray,
