This thread is a joke. Those who follow boxing know Wlad dusts big slow guys with medicore defenses inside of two rounds. See Ray Austin, Derrick Jefferson, or Wolfgram. I predict Wlad right hand or left hook will produce a thunderous TKO/KO.
This is all true. He is the most scaredy cat/cautious HW Titleholder in history. He clinches like a little *****, almost as bad as Hopkins when he is in trouble. Team Arreola needs to do a few things, to enhance their chances of an upset. 1. Stamina. Chris needs to be in aerobic/cardio condition to fight hard for 12 rounds. This means he needs to drop at least 20 pounds. Lots of high altitude running, and a lot of 12 round sparring against taller opponents. 2. Defense. His D last time was terrible, considering he got schooled in the 1st, and was down. He came back with a lot of heart, but if he leads with his chin, Gay Frankenstein will take his ass out. I want to see head movement and a lot of blocking, and bobbing and weaving. Keep that chin tucked. 3. Neutralizing the Jab. Like DLH, Wald Clit is useless without his jab. It is about 60% of his gameplan. Movement, footwork and distance will all work at reducing it's effectiveness. He needs to study Wald tape, and see how Wald loves to set it up, and then shoot combos off of it. That idiot, Hasbeen Rahman stood right in front of Wlad, like a big dummy (I thought I saw Redd Foxx in the audience yelling "Dummy, get the **** out of the way"), and just took punishment. Arreola needs to not do that. 4. Keep it close and ugly. Wlad cannot handle punishment. If Chris keeps the fight INSIDE and scores to the liver, kidneys and ribcage, and punishes Wlad when he tries to clinch, he will take him out of his gameplan. I want to see a nervous, agitated Emmanuel Steward in the corner after each round. 5. Talk to the referee before the fight about Wlad's gay ass excessive clinching. Widdowmaker knows, that without the Clinch, Wlad, when he is in trouble, is a fish in a barrel, with a Mexican staring down at it with a shotgun.
very true :good but cristobal isnt a big slow guy with a mediocre defense. hes got fast hands feet and head movement. arreola is like an angry mike tyson compared to the stiffs wlad has been fighting lately belive me he will overwhelm wlad breaking his will his heart and eventually his jaw. ill put any bet on with you that arreola wins within 10 rounds. name your odds
Fast hands, yeah maybe. Fast feet and head movement, hell no. Watch the Walker fight again. Arreola stands stock still, bolt upright with his guard up. He is barely up on his toes and can hardly be considered fleet of foot.
meh... i think it will look a bit like the thompson fight. I garuntee you Arreolas pressure and will, will make wlad fustrated around the 3rd and 4th rounds, but im banking on wlad wethering it... and knocking arreola out around the 9th.
OK--a week before the fight, check back in. I'll bet you avatar rights for 3 months. No odds. If Wlad wins, I win. If Arreola somehow pulls off the upset, you win. All of Wlad's opponets says they will bum rush him, then they get hit and..... Check back in a week before the fight to confirm. And remember in the ring, the fight with gloves, not words. Translation, nothing Arreola says will matter in the ring. Regards,
If i was going to be around, id bet you just about anything you wanted that Wlad does not stop Arreola in two rounds. People are not looking at this fight properly.... Arreola will cause wlad some trouble... believe me. Brock and Thompson are not soooooooo much better then arreola... with less heart imo and he will put on more pressure when he needs to. Wlad did not look that good against thompson at times, and brock took wlad past the early rounds... Im not saying i couldnt see wlad wanting to come out and make a statement, and stopping arreola early, but i dont think he does. He will come out... jab arreolas head off for the first couple rounds, then start firing the right hand.... and probably knocks him out around the mid rounds.... but he IS getting knocked out (arreola) no doubt.
Thats a great point. Everyone knows how to beat Wlad and presumably his opponents come into the fight with the right game plan. Its just that when they get smacked in the mouth by the big guy their game plan, desire, heart and belief all fly out of the window. A good heart and self belief even when things aren't going well is a vital ingrediant for beating Wlad. Brewster had this in abundance in their first fight. He got hit with everything Wlad threw at him but he didn't just sit back and mentally quit like most of Wlad's opponents have done.
man thats the walker fight. walker is **** and everybody knew it cris couldve came in at 300 pounds and still knocked his ass out. people read to much into that fight arreola couldnt be bothered to train for him just like the king kong garcia fight. cause its not a challenge he needs to be motivated to actually get in shape and perform. i garuntee by the time the wlad fight comes around arreola will be a ripped 235 and will be able to move like pretty boy did on dancing with the stars
Wlad TKO 7. Arreola can not win unless he becomes an actual Heavyweight contender basicaly overnight.
Yes, but Brock and Thompson fight defensively, Arrelola fights agressively, which means he is going to get his chin chekced early. No way he can take Wlad's power. Wlad wins inside four rounds, unless Arreola fights like Brock or Thomspon did.
