it must be pretty poor ...the british title fght is being contested by fighers with pretty poor records.

one has a 'journeyman like' record and the other one has only had about 8 fights, were he has only won 5 of them

surely for the brit title there should be a better standard for the belt.

I thought this was for the fly-weight title. Doesn't Haskins hold the s-fly?

yeah, thats for the flyweight title. and both divisions are weak.

just not enough little fellas in boxing in this country to make them competitive

I'm hoping get down to this show if my funds permit, only a few mile away. Dapa Napa is also fighting on it but there is no opponent as of yet.

Those divisions have always been weak in britain. I remember mickey cantwell saying he went over to thailand for sparring because there was nobody to spar at home, he said he walked into a gym over there and couldnt believe how many fighters there were, about 100 in one gym!

They just lack depths. There's hardly any fighters in either the flyweight or super flyweight divisions in the UK.

i looked at the boxing news rankings it's shocking the amount of poor records you see and lack of fighters full stop. good fighters move up quickly even if it's not right for them because they need the money and they hardly fight and if they do it's against the same opponent.

might have a crack at going pro actually lol

maybe he should have tried Louis Veitch who he got a gift draw against or Keith Knox who completely outworked him only to be robbed in a British title fight.:good

    Devoid of talent.

Britain has had great smaller men in the past, but there are too many cans down there now. Its evolution, people are getting bigger.
