Solid Chin - Margo wasn't petitioning for a rematch right away, he petitioning the decision of the fight.

thanks for clearing that one up. I would ask for a sourcce but Im more interested in seeing 2 men step into the ring and get it on.

Whoever it maybe, talk is cheap, let their fists do the talking...

If you see from my answers I think sometimes, if the sources are not solid then the only man who can answer the questions that Scar was asking is the fighter himself or Bob Arum, otherwise my source of information will still be second hand sources and not from the horses mouth.

Video sources are the best thing because anyone can type up a bogus article

    He's the kicker.

Floyd legitly beat the #2 and #1 of the division at 147.

If Margo was the champ and Floyd skipped him then we have a case but he wasn't and he's still not the champion. And thus the argument somehow holds water.

Margo never had anything to command a Floyd fight. The best he had was an 8 million offer with a bad resume.

Had he already beat Cotto and maybe Mosley then again we'd have something but he was not very well known, had no achieved nothing yet.

And again, I will tell you that Floyd should fight Pac or the winner of Margo-Cotto 2

well to wrap this one up I agree with you that Floyd shoudl fight Pac because I will instantly tune in for that and also the winner of Margarito vs Cotto, either fight sounds good to me, if he took 2 fights then retired then nobody could talk any **** about him anymore, not even me, but until then I will continue to tarnish his resume LOL.

I respect his boxing game but thats as far as it goes until I see one or 2 of the fights you mentioned above, I think Pac then Margo is the best combination providing Margo keeps up the wins

Dude Im gonna pull in for the night its 2:15am over here. until next time :good

Wrong and during an interview on the show Quite Frankly before the Judah fight with BOTH Mayweather and Arum sitting next to one another during the interview Arum clearly states that he has Mayweather in plan to fight Margarito or even Cotto in the future.

The reason why Arum talked about the fight quite a lot when Mayweather retired is to boost/promote Margarito while using another man he previously promoted's name. He also used the same method to promote Cotto, notice how Mayweather is scared to death from Cotto when Mayweather decided to ditch Arum and it got worse when he retired?

When Mayweather was with him he didn't bother to mention that because he knows if the fight took place at the time Cotto would be knocked out.

Then why mention Cotto's name in your previous post?, to add to the delusional list of guys Mayweather is scared to death from?

Again you ask for a source?, when I gave you a few sources to back up my claims you responded with "it doesn't matter" and completely dodged the discussion using your opinion and threw a one-liner that sounds something like this.. "I'm still convinced Mayweather fought NO ONE in his career, ZERO risks and the proof is Margarito". :nut

I told you before, if you have no time to provide links to the claims you make, which are OBVIOUSLY just claims based on your OPINION then I have no time to provide you with links either.

If you weren't around when the Margarito/Mayweather talks were hot and Mayweather was a new Welterweight then I'm NOT here to educate you unless you're man enough to admit you weren't around and basically CLUELESS as obvious as it is with the topic. :good

They're not worth it yet he was still P4P#1, maybe your rankings don't approve but the boxing public obvious does. :deal

Mayweather's move to Welterweight was one thing and that thing was obvious, you weren't around back in the day so keep typing nonsense. His move was to fight WBC/WBA/IBF Champion Zab Judah, THAT fight was his main target because it was a fight to determine the top Welterweight. You obviously weren't around either at the time when people jumped from the "Mayweather is scared to death of Vivian Harris" laughable bandwagon to "There is no ****ing way Mayweather would move up to fight Judah".

Fact is that was the fight people wanted and I remember a certain poll on ESPN's website which had "Which fight would you prefer, Mayweather/Hatton or Mayweather/Judah" and the Judah fight won big-time because THAT'S the fight people were interested in back then.

It's NOT Mayweather's problem Judah lost his championship and position to Baldomir, who was the #1 contender for the WBC, by the way.

Also if you know a thing or two about Judah you will also know that he had Cotto on ***** street in the opening round, so he wasn't a soft touch.

As I mentioned a thousand times to you already, the REAL soft touches are the guys Margarito was feasting on when there was an available WBC/WBA/IBF unified champion since 2003, what was Margarito doing?, trying to convince that the WBOgus, which he didn't even win by beating a champion, is more legitimate?

Your incompetence on the topic can't go THAT far.

First it's "get me sources to your claims!, to I don't care about sources and I don't have the time to provide sources myself".

Now it's "Go ask Bob Arum!".

You're doing very good so far.

No I don't need to ask Bob Arum about that, the media always get answers and always write certain comments on the topic based on FACTS. Guess why?, because they DO ask Bob Arum. :good

There is something called YouTube which can also provide videos which involve certain questions.

Now I ask you this, Dan Goossen recently provided people in the media photocopies of the exact same letter/offer he sent to Arum which Arum PUBLICLY turned down and admitted to it by using the failing negotiations involving Pavlik/Williams as an excuse. Did Bob Arum provide people with his offer to team Williams which they claim the offered immediately?, the answer is NO.

Arum DIDN'T want Margarito to fight Williams and wanted him to drop his WBO title to fight for Cotto's WBA, something Margarito refused and Arum nearly sued him for it but it still went through. The consequences were clear and all the hypejob involving Margarito which Arum was perfecting very well, and obviously you are the living proof to it, went to Paul Williams in one night.

Arum's actual plans were already revealed before that if you follow the sport well enough to hold a decent discussion you would know without the need to ask me for sources. I'm not here to keep you updated on what you are missing, go do it yourself. Arum already revealed that he had Margarito/Cotto in plan and KNEW that a Williams fight would be a massacre and MIGHT ruin the possibility of a Cotto fight, a loss for Margarito wasn't going to help promote that fight. Guess how he know?, it's his job/life, he wouldn't be a successful promoter if these things weren't obvious to him.

Now that Arum already admitted he wants NO part of Williams anymore he immediately revealed Margarito's future plans and knowing how Margarito fights two fights a year it will be Mosley and then Cotto as he already announced for this year. Is there any mention of Williams?, the answer is NO. So please spare me bull**** like "Just wait man, you will see them soon".

When I ask you to answer me a question instead of being man enough to admit you don't ****ing KNOW you give me an answer like "Ask Bob Arum"?, what's the point of this discussion then?

When you ask me for sources I was kind enough to provide, when I ask for them I should go ask Bob Arum instead?

If you don't know just admit it and get it over with, google is your friend.

So from completely embarrassing you by providing certain links it's all a load of garbage to you and I should call Bob Arum and get him to contact you?

Glad I didn't prove any more links as clearly you lack mentally to understand the sport IN the ring and out of it.

By the way, I'm sorry for not providing Bob Arum. Can you please provide Bob Arum to back up YOUR claims?, you obviously haven't done jack**** to provide any source so far and used a "I don't have time" excuse, yet had the time to write an article of a post yourself.

I provided facts with sources as you asked for, what did you provide?

    "Ask Bob Arum".

Oh and you didn't explain a single thing nor answered a single question properly either. You just used your personal opinion as an answer to back up your claims, sorry it doesn't work that way.

No facts whatsoever to back that up either and "Ask Bob Arum" is not an answer. I take that as "I have no idea man, ask Bob Arum, Floyd Mayweather and Antonio Margarito".

Awesome way to end it, think I couldn't have done the same?, sure I could but I have information on the topic to use such sad responses and even if I didn't I assure you I'll admit I DON'T KNOW rather than say something as silly as that.

My point is resume, opponents and accomplishments play a major role. If he made a career fighting scrubs HBO won't even host it, as they threatened to NOT host Pavlik/Rubio and a possible Pavlik/Mayorga fight before they offered Hopkins instead.

Don't think you would know about that of course.

Definitely not, it's because fans tend to cookie cut parts of interviews without the entire thing to deceive people into believing something which totally isn't. Can anyone provide the ENTIRE roundtable interview so we can know what was he asked during the conversation, how did it start and what the response to it?

I'm sure you don't have the "time" to provide nothing so, let's all go ask Floyd Mayweather!

    Double standards as usual.

It wasn't pathetic to you when you CLEARLY bashed on Mayweather for possibly picking Pacquiao, based on size, but it's perfectly fine for Margarito to make a career fighting and calling out smaller guys. If he can make 147 then what's the problem?, why is it bad for Mayweather to possibly fight Pacquiao then?, why was it bad for Mayweather to fight Hatton?, Didn't Hatton also make 147?

Oh this only applies on fighters you support only, huh?

That's why he never rematched nor attempted to rematch any of the guys that beat him. Care to explain please?, and have you even seen all the fights he lost in?

He may be a gladiator of a beast who scares the hell out of the PLANET as TOP RANK promotion did a good job with that one to produce people like you, but I still would rather be realistic. I see some flaws a gladiator beast and most feared monster wouldn't have, why are they there?

To repeat my question WHY HASN'T HE AVENGED ANY LOSS NOR ATTEMPTED TO DO IT?

Why did he pick Mosley for HALF the price when the fighter that beat him offered him DOUBLE the amount with a date ready and open to sign for?

Why isn't HE the one running after guys the beat him?, isn't that what a warrior gladiator would do?

Why did he agree to move up to 154 and immediately for DLH but it was a shame and a waste of time to do so for Santos who beat him?

Why didn't he rematch Rodney Jones, a fighter who was active all the way to 2007?

Any answer other than "Ask Bob Arum" would be HIGHLY appreciated and no answers like "It will happen soon, just wait please", you're not Bob Arum to say that either. :deal

Mayweather was the #1 Welterweight when he was around, officially recognized as the lineal #1 Welterweight champion and MAN to beat in the division.

As I said, Margarito fighting and beating the complete tomato cans he beat before Mayweather made his move to Welterweight DIDN'T earn him the WBC/WBA/IBF titles.

    Answer me another question..

Why didn't Margarito decide to fight ANY of the unified undisputed champions?, we can go WAY back, all the way back to DLH/Mosley/Forrest/Mayorga/Spinks.

Did the entire Welterweight division duck him too?, if so then he surely surpasses Hagler as the most feared man on the planet. As a matter of fact, he makes Hagler look like the easiest man on the planet if an entire division ducked him with nearly 5 different undisputed unified champions battling over the position.

If you would consider Margarito as a real #1 instead of Mayweather at the time when Mayweather captured the spot from Baldomir then back it up with something, what has Margarito done to deserve it more?

He beat Manuel Gomez?, Kermit Cintron?, Sebastian Lujan?, Hercules and Andrew Lewis?

You honestly think those winning those fights earns him the position instead?, if so then why didn't they rank him that?, because the rankings are corrupt?, then why is Margarito ranked #1 now?, the rankings are corrupt right?, or the rankings are only spot on when they rank the fighters we like the way we want to?

Scar, this is not a cop out but there is no way I will be able to sift through all of those different points and get sources of information to structure a new post...

I simply havent got enough time to search and re-find stuff and sources or videos just to prove a point of view which is one of opinion.

I am really not concerned with the past, I am only concerned with the present.

I will be watching Margarito vs Mosley
    and
I will be watching Pacquiao vs Hatton
    and
    If Margarito comes through
and if Pacquiao wins then I will watching the scene Closely and taking note of everything that is going down.

I know that Margarito will probably be fighting Cotto again so that would leave the winner of Pac vs Hatton for Mr Mayweather.

If Mayweather takes either fight and wins and if Margarito beats Cotto again
then in your own opinion, what do you see as the most realistic next move for both Margarito and Floyd ?

Especialliy if Williams decides not to come back to 147 division.

All Im saying is, lets see what happens because if Mayweather chooses to retire, no one can blame him but that question will always be asked, what would of happened if Mayweather had fought Margarito, especially if Margarito does a demolition job on Cotto for a second time.

There will always be unanswered questions...

That is all I can really say to wrap this up.

You make good points and I am not going to be ignorant and just respond
for the sake of an argument.

I have my opinions and you have your opinions about both Margarito and Mayweather.

We would be here all night discussing this so I would rather wrap this up and start up a new post because these posts are getting longer and longer lol and there is just too many angles to cover...:good

Are you sure your not Floyd Mayweather himself lol

why don't the little bugger just fight Margarito, it would be easy work, make him miss all night, he won't even have to train hard and he'll make $10 million with PPV upside? Easy work over a D level opponent.

PLus he can eliminate one of Top Rank's major meal tickets. HBO wants the fight. Margarito will take short money. It's easy fight to make, over a supposedly big slow wide punching, slow footed Mexican.

Why is phloyd so stubbornly resistant to the idea?

I think there is definetly some fear factor and if the fight would be as easy as Floyd seems to think it would be then I dont understand why he himself hasn't asked for it...

The fight needs to happen before Margarito becomes Shot Worn...

Thisis a message board, not a university project, you can respond whenever you wish as it's a part of having fun and exchanging information.

As far as not replying to my post, I can understand that and if you don't wish to do so because it's long then so be it. I did my part and answered your questions with facts(a quick google search will confirm it), sadly I got no answers from you.

It's all good anyway, no hard feelings, it was fun while it lasted. :good

There's no point when Paul Williams, Daniel Santos and Rodney Jones all have done it already. Not to forget that Mayweather can make FAR more fighting Pacquiao, Hatton or anyone else.
