It would be a very competitive fight, that's for sure. I would favor Rashad slighty. Thiago has amazing skills. But he hasn't really been tested in the octagon, yet.
Bad matchup I think for Silva. Evans is better on his feet, and Silva wont be able to take him down, so it's Evans's fight, he will decide if its on his feet, or on the ground.
rashad gets beaten unless he wrestles even then he dosnt have the bjj that thaigo has i just am not sold on rashad yet i think that silva beats him
I haven't really seen enough of Silva yet. He hasn't fought anyone in the top ten. However, his next fight should tell us pretty much all we need to know. Lyoto Machida is the concensus best up and coming prospect in the division. This should really test both of them. I agree that Rashad is not going to have his title by the end of the year. The division is too deep and he ain't the best in it.
I like rashad, always have, bit I like Thiago more and hope he takes it. Thiago has two ways to win, leg kicks early and often, and/or somehow getting top position through a takedown which will be hard on rashad, it will have to be a trip or just a weird scramble. I also like his chances if be gets a Thai clinch. If Rashad can keep it a boxing match he should win, same if he gets takedowns and top control
I've also mentioned this before. His stand up looks quite sloppy as seen in the Drzwal and Mendes fights. He looks good on the ground though especially his GNP.
