Has nothing to do with killer instinct.....certain fighters mask their pain alot better.....they condition themselves mentally not to show when they're hurt.....some can do it better than others......Pac maybe someone that does'nt let out that unique grunt that we belch out when he's been hit with a shot that hurts him.

Btw, Patsys, what round did that body shot occur, I'd like to take a look to see for myself.......

.....and btw, the first Morales-Pac fight, it was either the 1st or 2nd round, but I believe the 1st.....Pac hit Morales with vicious body shot that Morales visibly felt the pain, he bent down and covered that section of his body for the rest of the round......where was Pac's killer instinct there???

    Nah.

Anyway, when Manny gets seriously hurt, he doesnt slam his fists together or throws his hands up.

He circles away in a kinda stiff legged manner, and bounces on the ropes a little. After a few seconds, he's back to normal.

Anyone who stood in the same ring with Pac would "lack[ed] the killer instinct" knowing what the latter could do for every careless attack/mistake they could make..;)

You mean what he contiously did in his fights with JMM!:yep

.....honestly, Pac did what you decribed quite frequently in both fights, but more in their first fight.....though I though JMM laid more into his punches in their rematch.

:lol:I know what you mean though bulankenyo, even when hurt, Pac's got good conditioning and a good base on those ultra thick legs of his, to manuever and ride it out.
......even if you hurt him, its not easy to keep him in that state of hurt.
Highly conditioned fighters like Pac and JMM (THE BEST CONDITIONING IN THE BUSINESS) are not easy to put away.
Pac certainly has found that out in both of his fights with JMM!

Marquez could never knock him down, though, however hard he tried. :yep
No amount of corrupt judging can ever help Manny avoid a legit KD.

And a hard uppercut to the chin would be the hardest punch for Manny to recover from.

JMM's punches were mostly hooks and straights, hitting the sides of manny's head or his face.

pac almost always does that when tagged by a clean punch as he seem to acknowledge his opponent and say "good shot but i'm still ok, bring it on." it is his trademark even during his younger days.

There's a difference when Manny raises his hands and when he is hurt.

If he raises his hands - he felt the punches and mocking to get toe-to-toe battle, which is far dangerous since Manny has the advantage for being a natural brawler. Same goes if he bangs his gloves together or hit his head.

If he is hurt, he covers and evade, then recover while still throwing jabs or lefts to sway of his opponents. I saw him hurt in a lot of fights like Larios, Morales and Marquez. You can tell the difference.

JMM came damn close in the 2nd or 3rd round of their rematch.....
.....that 3 or 4 punch combination ending with a hook that had Pac stiff legged, wobbled and took up straight in the air and came down stiff legged and wobbled......
I've seen that combination many times in gifs in this forum, maybe someone can post it.

Why would you say that the uppercut would be hard for Pac to recover from?

Pac has done well to avoid getting hit with the uppercut by Marquez.
It has'nt been there for JMM to land on a consistent basis, because Pac darts in quickly with the straigh left, and never stays long on the inside to go mano a mano.
Against JMM, Pac usually darts in, and he's out of there as soon as the counter lands.

I've read plenty of post in this forum questioning why Pac did'nt invest more to the body against Pac......the answer for that is that when a fighter goes to the body, he bends at the waist more to get the punch there.......when a fighter bends at the waist, thats JMM's cue to throw the uppercut.

You may be right about Pac not wanting to taste that uppercut, because he just did'nt go after JMM's body the way say he attacked DLH with it.
