you will not find that fight anywere online belive me ive been looking for it for about 2 years now andhav had no luck. anyway im surprised no one mentioned holyfield vs qawi that was an instant classic probably the greatest cruiserweight fight ever
Corrales - Castillo 1 was awesume!!! Bowe - Golota 2 comes to my mind also. In that fight I never saw a boxer took so much punishment than Riddick and won that fight anyway. Ok by disqualifikation but he won!
Good picks. I would add Vazquez vs Marquez III and Charles vs Marciano I to that list. Ezzard took a wicked beating but did his own damage and opened a nasty cut on Marciano while in the process.
Welcome Ncita v Kennedy McKinney Prince Charles Williams v Merqui Sosa was something else.. I remember the referee stopping the fight to save both men from the brutality they were enduring, It was unbelievable. I know Merqui well and he trains my Friend Friday Ahunanya , he and i chat about it sometimes, he really had awesome power when he was on form...
Hearns v Andries was a great fight, Dennis travelling to Detroit to tackle the worlds baddest Lightheavy in an uphill struggle that almost payed off , but it became all too onesided in the end, I remember Andries turning up at Kronk years later to join forces with the collaboration that masterminded his demise and becoming ten times the fighter he was a year or two later , actually winning a title again and beating Anthony Willis.. in Arizona......
...........Too many to name really; Duran-Moore is hard to watch. Moore's corner should have been arrested for attempted manslaughter for letting their guy out for the seventh, let alone the eighth. The referee (a Panamanian, of course) seemed to delight in the punishment Duran was meting out, and had zero intention of ever stopping it. The sick ****. The single most one-sided "stop it or the man is going to die, dumbass" fight I've seen would have to be Dempsey-Willard. "Ouch" does not do this justice. For a more competitive, raucous affair, I present the following: Bobby Chacon-Cornelius Boza Edwards II, seen below in its entirety. Set aside a little time, this went the full twelve (amazingly)......... [yt]RqbDFHIJM1s[/yt] [yt]vGdE6xm9TC4[/yt] [yt]yHoTibRfHHo[/yt] [yt]A--WHcdjMRw[/yt] [yt]Eq7iaIwnaKU[/yt] [yt]QgBK3oQfDqQ[/yt]
I have to admit that watching Corrales v Castillo 1 left my jaw all over the shop. I thought it'd be a great fight but I didn't think it would go that far and I certainly didn't think it would be as brutal. Man, they just stood in the centre of the ring, nose to nose just hitting each other. Hagler v Hearns was just a freaking war over a short distance but still brutal. Gatti v Ward 1 is up there. Can't remember what round but I always remember Ward throwing a combination against a defenceless Gatti and his head went left right left right and I thought ****, his head's gonna come off. I remember watching that on the build up to Lewis v Tyson. Sky Sports threw it in as a surprise...they were the days. All my mates bar one fell asleep and two of us watched this bar-room brawl. But alas for sheer brutality, savagery and sheer disbelief it has to be Ali v Frasier 3. They must've been calling the hospital after the halfway point. The best thing is I've got them all on dvd....time to kick open the beers and settle down for a night of brutal fights :hey
