The year 2008 brings some interesting fights this year. The boxing gives every year interesting fights. This is some fighters who dominanting in his divisions. Wladimir Klitschko, Thomas Adamek, Joe Calzaghe, Mikkel Kessler, Arthur Abraham, Paul Williams, Antonio Margarito, Manny Pacquiao are best this year.

    Heavyweight
    Wladmir Klitschko 3-0

Vitali Klitschko comebacks after three and half year layoff. He fights directly with WBC champion Samuel Peter and beats him by TKO 8.
The WBA champion Nicolai Valuev defetead Sergei Lyakhovich in the February by UD 12, after he beats John Ruiz in contraversel decition by UD 12, and one week before he fought on of the best fighter ever, the 46-year old, Evander Holyfield. The results was MD 12. Holy protest to WBA commision and WBA delegates will bring one answer about this statemant.

The man of this division is Thomas Adamek. The former light heavyweight champion beats O`neill Bell by TKO 8 in the IBF eliminator fight, after that he beats Gary Gomez and wins IBF title when he defeats Steve Gunningham by SD 12.

    Super Middleweight
Joe Calzaghe leaves vacant three titles this year in super middleweight division. The year 2008 brings some good fights but we dont have one who will dominante. The former champion who was been defeated by Calzaghe last year, Mikkel Kessler backs WBA title when he beats Dimitri Sartison by KO 2 and Danilo Haussler by KO 3. Lucian Bute defend IBF title two time this year, he beats William Joppy by TKO 10 and Librado Andrade by UD 12. Denis Inkin wins vacant WBO title with Fulgencio Zuinga by UD 12. The third title who was vacant it was the WBC belt. The winner is Carl Froach. Froach wins Jean Pascal by UD 12. Froach will defend his title with former middleweight champion Jermain Taylor. Light Middleweight
    Paul Williams 3-1
Pual Williams lost title in the eary year with Carlos Quintana. After four months he gets rematch with Quintana and wins him by stopage TKO 1. In the September he betas also Andy Kolle by TKO 1. In the November he moves to the light middleweight division and first viktime was Verno Philips. Williams stoped Phillips with stopage in the round eight, TKO 8. We can say that Williams haved very successfull year ...

    Welterweight

Antonio Margarito fight Kermit Cintron for IBF welterweight title and defeated him with KO 6. He left IBF title to fight undefeted Migguel Cotto. In the fenomenal fight he beats the undefeated Cotto by TKO 11. For this reasen Margarito deserved to be the best welterweight fighter for this year.

    Light Welterweight
    Manny Pacquiao 3-0
Manny Pacquiao its best fighter for the year 2008. He defets Juan Manuel Marquez by SD 12, David Diaz by TKO 9, and beats badly Oscar de la Hoya in one a way fight RTD 8. The fllower of Filipines deserved to be best fighter this year, he was very successfull year. interesting that Manny winds up as best light welter, despite never having fought there.

Haha, this is stupid. PacMan at LWW? Williams at LMW? I think Sturm was much better at 160 (Abraham-Miranda II was at 166). Adamek at 200? Somehow Haye's historical unificaiton doesn't count? I can live with WK, although VK's sole win was much more quality, vs. HW's no2.

Last fight of Pacman with De La Hoya was in the light welterweight mate, and there is rated like best one. Also Haye left titles and moves to heavyweight for that reasen Admek deserved to be first because he haved three fights and gets title in the cruser.

What he may do with Hatton is as yet unknown.

What is CERTAIN is that his Delahoya fight was at Welter weight.

Manny has NEVER fought at Light Welterweight.

IMO the most outstanding boxer in 2008 was Lomachenko from Ukraine.
He was the best fighter at the olympics in Beijing,China, schooling his classy French opponent in the final from pillar to post.

His exciting style is made for the pros. I am truly looking forward to his pro debut!!!

Lets see Odo.... If one fighter is successfull in amateur boxing, I`m sure he will do better in pro.

In this year we will have also some good fighters who will turn, like Matvey Korobov, James DeGale, and some good fighters also.

Yep! Korobov,DeGale,Djelkir, and so are good fighters who for sure will make some noise at the pros, too.
Nevertheless,Lomachenko plays in a league of his own.

By the way according to some rumour Sarsekbayev will soon turn pro.He for sure will be a dominating force in his weight division, too.
