If Floyd fought the winner of Hatton/Pac and lost, what excuses are we likely to hear

    There is always somebody out there who will put a spin on why a top level fighter lost the fight.

    A lot of fighters feel that they dont receive the credit that they deserve, which is evidently one of the many reasons why Floyd retired according to various different sources.

    If Mayweather chose to step out of retirement to fight the winner of Pacquiao vs Hatton and ended up loosing via Decision or even Via TKO then what excuses do you think would be made after all the smoke has cleared.

    I thought I would bring this up because there has been a number of incidents where excuses were made after the fight.

    Here are some examples:

    Hopkins humilating domination over Pavlik
    (Some were saying that Pavlik was ill or had Bronchitis, or that he was not fighting at his normal weight)

    Pacquiao handing De La Hoya's arse back to him
    (Some would say Oscar was weight drained, others said that he couldn't pull the trigger in the 1st place)

    If Pac beats Hatton
    (He was past his best, he was shot, or other)

    What do you think would be said about Floyd if he lost ?

    He would not lose to Ricky Hatton. As good as his father is as a trainer...no!
    Against Pacquiao...ring rust as mentioned above.
    But we don´t need to think about that...he will beat Manny!

    Roach has kind of opened up that possibility in more recent statements, after saying previous they would not take the fight here. I think the lowest it would be, anyways, is like 143/144.

    Floyd wouldn't lose to either of those guys ... they're both small guys and don't have as much skill as Floyd. Those guys also aren't as schooled as Floyd who can do it all.

    This thread is ridiculous ... there's no way that those guys beat Floyd ... they are too technically flawed ... good for each other but not good against technical boxers.

    Us Floyd fans would believe that Floyd was either drugged or had his family threatened by either PAc or Hatton and was told to take a fall or fix the fight. What a assinine thread lol...:dead What will happen if Floyd beats either guy, will you cry that PAc and Hatton were too small? Well, we see what they said about Hatton when Floyd beat him lol. See Hatton-Collazo for details. Pac beats Dlh up better than Floyd lol, and PAc wants to fight Floyd at a catch weight. Why? If Floyd beats PAc, Pac will have been too small for Floyd lol...
