Give up for **** sake. The WBO is a genuine world title. As much as it may **** us off that Warren has such a huge influence in the organization, it's a title. Same as the IBF, WBC and WBA. I expect this will be a very good fight. I couldn't say who I think will win at this point.
Not everybody else does actually. Check the top 100 listed in The Ring magazine recently. I don't see WBO titles mentioned there. They, like many others, don't see how boxing benefits from recognising more straps.
almost all the boxing websites recognize the WBO as well as the WBC, IBF and WBA in their rankings... go check..
So presumably you think it's good to recognise more titles then? Do you think we should start recognising the IBO as a major title also? Just because lots of boxing websites recognise it doesn't make it a good thing.
but they dont recognize the IBO ....or the IBA, WBF, etc, etc.... I'm accepting the facts, regardless of my beliefs. It is what it is.
I disagree. It's up to us as fans to ignore the straps and keep some credibility in the sport. Three belts is more than enough.
Think what you want, it's really your opinion. Regardless, the media clearly recognizes the WBO, such as when it was announced that Wladimir Klitschko had became the first unified heavyweight champ since Lennox Lewis by unifying the IBF/WBO titles. He already had the IBF/IBO titles but IBO doesnt matter. Welcome to Eastside. :hi: You obviously dont get it
Well obviously it's good for the promoters to announce it as a unification but that doesn't make it so. If the WBO is a recongised title why were the following fights announced as undisputed title fights with no WBO involved? Spinks/Mayorga, Hopkins/Trinidad and Mosley/Wright. You do realise your emoticons don't add any weight to your argument don't you?
