Intriguing matchup of two of the greatest middleweights of all time, bar none. Echols was just unlucky fighting in the Bernard Hopkins era, just as Locket was unlucky to have fought in the Pavlik era.

I say they goto war over 15 rounds, rivaling Hearns-Hagler for sheer output and action.

Oh man... read the title wrong. I have no clue who wins now... maybe Lockett, cause Echols is beyond shot. A prime Echols knocks Lockett out brutally. Echols was a helluva puncher. If he had fought Joppy instead of Hopkins he woulda won a belt. He would have KO'd Joppy IMO.
