The Master counter-puncher being counter-punched by Pacquiao. That is amazing.

Both Oscar and diaz couldn't hit pac easily. The best defense he has is dodging his enemies' attack. We will see it on Hatton fight if pac really did improve his defense.

I agree with you and many of JMM punches landed on arms or globes of Pac which probably were scored by those who saw a win for JMM.:good

I think his entire game has improved with each of his last dozen outings.

    Including his defence.

    Counterpunching the Counterpuncher

Animated Gif: Pacquiao faked a jab and as soon as Marquez started countering with a left hook, Pacquiao ducked and threw a huge left of his own. Perfect. Common during Pacquiao's sparring session but rare during his actual fights.

How can someone state that his defense hasnt improve? His head movement has always been there but its his defense right after his flurries that have gotten him in trouble with Marquez. If you have watched the last two fights, sure these guys are slower but notice that Pac is now always in a position to defend his face with his gloves.

You guys are really amazing ****in keyboard quarterbacks..typin and yappin bout things as if his trainer Roach and co. have not mentioned and trained Pac to work on these things. Im sure you guys are going to come back and say that defense cant be improved :patsch

    ****in morons

Hmmm it's hard to say. We all know his defense is very good these days, given he's such an offensive fighter (i.e. no Whitaker or Floyd, but for his style it's good). But since the Marquez fight, he hasn't exactly been tested a great deal. I first noticed the enormous improvement in the third Morales fight, but since then it's tough to say if it's improved even more. His in and out movement has been better implemented recently, which has made him more evasive, however I think it was simply an adaption of styles against aggressive, bigger opponents. If he fought Marquez again, I couldn't see him bouncing in and out as much as he did against Diaz and Hoya.

The bottom line is, his defense is very good these days.

    Exactly ^

From what I saw Pacquiao collapsed straight backwards in panic mode the few times De La Hoya mounted an attack in earnest. They'll have to do something about that before he fights Hatton.

I sure did. He jumps back and flails around frantically. I don't think your boy likes to get hit. He puts that guard up and braces himself like a grenade is going to go off when the other guy starts punching.

You forgot to add the one where JMM has PacMan dancing like a ballerina at the end of the first round. There are several more that you can post of JMM making PacMan squirm, but $100.00 you won't do it. P.S. That was the only clear round for Manny. Too bad the judges had to help him out. :deal

In fairness, I don't think anyone Pac's size would want to stand there and take an Oscar De La Hoya left hook. Pity Oscar didn't actually throw more than 3 so we could've seen.
