we will have to wait and see because thats all I keep on hearing but 2 fighters out there hands down would be the only 2 guys Id probably say have the best chance of nullyfying what Floyd is effectively known for and that is his offensive right hands, you take that away and nullify that then we might be talking about a completely different scenario.

To nullify those right hands, you need to use the jab so that he has no time to set up because he normally needs a bit of time to fix himself into position when he goes off to the side then waits for his opponent to come over to him.

Margarito would definetly use his reach.

The thing is this fight may never happen because pacquiao might beat hatton and then fight mayweather and spoil the party then all this talk would fly out the window...

Anything can happen in boxing, thats why we all love the sport

Stamina to fight all of 12 rounds at a high pace, just like Mayweather himself.

A long stiff jab like De La Hoya, to use while coming in.

    The courage/tenacity of Ricky Hatton.

The ability to soak shots up like Baldomir.

    Intelligent pressure, ala Roberto Duran.

Constant bobbing and weaving as you close the distance, Joe Frazier style, to negate those sharp counters as best as possible while landing your own firepower.

And of course, at least average speed of both hands and feet to actually land punches in the first place and to bull him against the ropes/cut off the ring.

Margo isn't gonna be ducking or dodging any right hands from Floyd. Floyds jab percentage would be like 75% against AM.

Second, AM aint gonna flurry or counter ANY of Floyds shots, his reflexes, counter ability & speed compared to Floyds punch speed & accuracy isn't even worth contrasting.

Minus the jab, I actually think it's fairly accurate. Elite stamina, high workrate, elite handspeed, good power, can take punishment, constant evasive movement when attacking, more conservative pressure (an improvement over the reckless pressure of old). Feel free to prove any of those wrong...

Good points. I think pressure would be the key, look how Mayweather got when Hatton was hunting him down,

Hattons mistake was not keeping a high guard whilst coming in but that pressure can work and imagine that type of pressure for 12 rounds, there is only so much running he will be able to do before he gets cornered.

It reminds me of when you see an animal in the wild running and running, and then eventually getting caught

Eventually something will give if that type of pressure is applied whilst landing a constant body assault each time.

People seem to forget that Margo can bang with either hand so Mayweather would have to contend with that.

margo would not beat PBF...he is not the answer....someone like berto with his handspeed at 154 maybe in a few years when he is past it...margo will be eating jans then winging punches in the air

keep on thinking that this will boil down to what you have already seen Floyd do to other opponents.

Those other opponents did not throw 100 punches a round or apply not even half the type of pressure Margarito would so we will wait and see and if it ever does go down and your boy gets battered then dont be coming on here with any type of excuses after the fight...

He doesn't quite stack up to the iron clad chin and duran like pressure either. But, the comparison closely fits...not to the letter...but fits.

"Duran-like" pressure is just a stupid suggestion for a requisite. Pacquiao's pressure is very effective, and is more than adequate in this case. And please enlighten me as to why he doesn't have an iron chin? Is it all of these knockdowns we've seen him suffer?

Everything I'm saying is true. Only reason AM would beat PBF is because he'd be like a 165 pound guy, with a 3" height advantage, fighting a guy who doesn't even really belong in the 147 division. Does that make you happy? You talk all this stuff he can do, why wasn't he doing that to PW?:patsch
