What makes me laugh everytime is how people still blame Floyd for "turning" and Hatton hitting in the back of the head.

You could see Hatton bringing the fight to Mayweather and landing plenty against him. If Hatton was bigger he'd have slowed Mayweather down but all credit to Mayweather, you could see Hatton constantly getting caught on the way in and the accumulation got to him in the end.

Had the ref let the fight play out more it could have got tense near the end but I still had Mayweather up on the cards. He would have won the UD.

ducking below the waist and turning your back is illegal, but that's for the ref to stop.

Cortez didn't help Hatton - the slightest little thing he was warning him for, whilst Floyd could have hit Hatton with a baseball bat and get away with it..... or so it seemed.

It didn't affect the overall outcome of the fight, i.e. Floyd being the winner, but Hatton wouldn't have been stopped. No way, because he wouldn't have started boxing like a complete prat following the point deduction.

Mayweather vs Hatton with an impartial ref....... Floyd UD, 117-111.

Hatton owned that ring post. Props to the ring post for taking such a solid head butt and remaining upright. Many a lesser ring posts would have crumbled under such a thunderous shot.

Haha mayweather almost went down in the 1st,
Hatton will murder him in a rematch as he has greatly improved.

For me this was the biggest event of recent years and the fight i looked most forward too... And the fight was pretty good too. and close for some rounds...

Cotto Margarito came close and was a better fight, but not as big as an event like mayweather hatton. Specially here in europe

Seriously deluded couple of posts there. Mayweather almost went down because he tripped over Hattons feet, not because he was hit hard and Hatton has got worse if anything. Floyd wins by wide UD in a rematch.

For me this video simply shows just how overrated Hatton is. Literally had no defense. His right drops below shoulder level all the time, and he jumps in with left hooks against a quicker, harder hitting opponent who is known for his defense. Cortez was/is rubbish but the outcome would have been the same. Hatton shouldnt have been fighting on that level in the first place

he didn't look good against Mayweather but that was a definite off-night for Hatton, and you can't have one of them against the best in the business . He looked a bag of nerves before the fight and has had much better nights.
