Exactly, just look at the opponents he fought after his jaw healed up. Sebastian Demers Khoren Gevor ( currently number 6 in the world and ebu middleweight champ) Wayne Elcock ( currently number 9 in the world and british middleweight champ) Maybe Ayala is a bull**** fight but the rest are quality opponents.
You fight everyone and anyone UNTIL you become famous, these days. That is the classic boxing pattern. It's the thing I absolutely hate about boxing. It's why I don't mind if a favorite boxer of mine isn't getting noticed because I can then watch the mother****er actually fight.
I think your right. I hope he and his camp reconsider this. People will surely make reference to the fact they never fought in regard to kelly's legacy, which as you mentioned and I concur, will most certainly damage it.
Again, they don't even have the Rubio fight signed. They won't begin serious negotiations for the next fight until after the Rubio fight actually happens.
I did not read ANYONE telling you to research this bull**** about aa not wanting to fight taylor! The same taylor that could not hurt "OUMA" and "SPINKS":rofl:rofl:rofl, the same taylor that has probably the most controversial decisions of ANY boxer in this era! Fuc outta here with that ducking ****, a guy who went 7 rounds with a p4p puncher, at the time in Miranda, is NOT ducking taylor. You bias is unbelievable!atsch
Pavlik has always stated that he wants to Unify ... so if AA keeps his belt and Pavlik keeps his belts, the fight WILL happen... probably not till the end of 09 though
Sorry but that list is seriously nothing to brag about....Miranda would have killed all four of them and Miranda is a limited fighter !!
Ive heard that Abrahams camp are in talks with Daniel Geale - from Aus. Not sure if anything will come of it, I think its far too soon for Geale, but he is an underfeated fighter with scope for improvement.. I would think this would be Abrahams last option, as it probably wouldnt be a big money fight for him..
I don't know much about Geale either, but I do know (even though considered less significant) he holds the MW IBO belt. Even though its not the biggest of the bodies, it would sweeten the pot for AA vs. Pavlik.
True, MW isn't exactly smokin' with hot aces on the way up. But I will say I was tickled to see AA crunch out Marquez, he'd been running his mouth a ton in the US magazines and stuff. Marquez did have some momentum building up too, so this WAS a GOOD win for AA, don't care what anybody says.:yep
jermain taylor fought him agian without a bunch of confidence building between ..why can't pavlick go on and do this with abraham?... people talk about joe c .. jeez
Fair point, but your avatar kills me!:rofl It's the opposite in WV, you'll see some big ASS woman with some tiny little dude hanging off of her.
exactly...if you wanna go hide in your division which is what hes doing after getting beat down by hopkins then at least clean it out. Dont go looking for smaller middleweights to pad your pocket. Kelly is turning into another money first sport second fighter..its sad..because i really thought he would be different
