Cotto vs Margo who wins the Rematch?

Margo will repeat! THe fact that Cotto wasn't going to the body wasn't due to a bad game plan...it was due to the fact that Cotto wasn't willing to leave himself open to Margs own offense. Which is why he was head hunting....and to GREAT effect.

Well...actually he was landing some massive shots...they just didn't have much of an effect on Antonio. But Cotto won't be going to te body anymore or anyless in the rematch. He'll have to be able to avoid letting his pride get the best of him and trade on Margs terms.

Cotto will have to keep cool, clam and collected even when Marg lands some of his shots. As long as Cotto continues to move and box and show Tony angles he can out box him...but I see Cotto falling into the same trap he did last time....engaging with Marg whenever he feels the pressure is on.

Unfortunately Marg has more "Machismo" than Cotto and it won't be in his interest to trade on Margs time.....Fact of the matter is Cotto is a very good boxer, however his heart will cloud his judgemnt and make him got toe to toe which will agian be his demise.

 

By not using his legs as much and not sitting on the ropes.

if he doesnt use his legs as much then he is stationary and Tony will nail him at will, sitting on the ropes I agree, but that is a place Tony drives you, and the fight that Cotto brought had the correct recipe its just that Cotto didnt have the toughness needed to get through the last couple of rounds and no matter what he does in the gym he wont get that toughness needed even in the rematch.

Margarito is just too strong for Miguel Cotto, too strong for most welters out there which is exactly why some of the bigger names are avoiding him.

 

Margo has one game. Cotto has the chance to improve his defence, work the body more, fight more intelligently, learn to box and move more etc Cotto can switch it up and get the W but can Cotto change after so long?!

 

Any more improvement in defense and his name is Mayweather. Cotto fought the best defensively fight he could have.

Cotto already said why he couldn't attack the body too. Margarito has great body defense.

Cotto had proven his stamina is not great.

Lovemore N'dou, Shane Mosley, and Antonio Margarito all wore Cotto down and had him retreating in the final rounds.

In order for Cotto not to sit on the ropes, he must use his legs. And the reason he was caught on the ropes was because he was getting pressured and backed up by the better pressure fighter. I'm telling you, he's screwed.

I feel like Margarito will beat his ****in brains out worse thn he did the first time. Cotto simply does not have what it takes to **** with Margarito. He fought a pretty decent fight the the first time, and unless he has inflicted permenent damage on Magrarito, and Shane does it also, the results will probably be the same, but quicker.

Bazooka immediately brings up Floyd (post #18 ) when no one even thought about mentioning him. And Aztek brings him up (post #50) to explain why someone could possibly pick against Margarito.

Margarito is not God. He can be beaten, and many people have their reasons to pick against. And just because someone doesn't root for or pick Margarito does not automatically make them a Floyd fanatic.

 

Well I don't mean be stationary, but there were times when he threw punches and turned without moving to the other side of the ring. I believe doing this more can save him from being KO'd even if he doesn't win the fight, which I don't think he will.

 

What you need to understand is that there are some posters here who's views on Margarito are soley based on Mayweather ducking him.

So when someone like perhaps Walk With Me talks about Margarito, we already know the root of his comment stems for his obsessive love of Mayweather.

Not everyone who says something negative about Margo is a Floyd fanatic. Margo fans are always the first ones who look for any reason to discredit Floyd and his fans in a thread. It's ****in stupid.

Why would he hate on Margo when his man beat Margo...that's like suggesting that all Floyd fans are Hatton haters.

Or that Cotto fans are Shane haters.

Or that Margo fans are Cintron, Cotto, and Clottey haters...doesnt logically make sense...
