I'd be surprised is someone could name me a single legitimate category that any of the recent 3 elite Mexican Featherweights was more well versed in than Sanchez.

JMM was a better pure counterpuncher, Morales a slightly better jab and can box better if he opts to. Barrera can be argued to have more power

I would say Barrera`s power is no greater than Morales power, probably slightly less if Im pushed, both have an edge over JMM in this department tho.
Sanchez stopped great & durable fighters, my guess is that his power might be better than all 3.

Marquez, Morales & MAB are all good counter-punchers but Sanchez was known for this skill, this was in a way his bread & butter.

I say Sanchez was one of the finest counter-punchers of the last 50 yrs, even Marquez doesnt do it as good IMO.

I definitely don't think any of them have more power, or even as much, so I disagree there. I also disagree with the first one, but I do think Marquez throws accurate combinations at least as well. The reason Marquez is generally considered a better counter-puncher is because his game is more limited to that general style, and thus that part of his game gets more attention. Sanchez, on the other hand, was so well-rounded (including counter-punching) that it was difficult to point out any one aspect as his main strength, and thus he doesn't get quite the credit for any of them. Morales's jab was very good, you may have me there.

If anything, Marquez is the harder puncher, his power has carried up to LW (mind you he has become more aggressive since his FW days)

Sanchez was a fantastic counter-puncher, who could jab, swarm, brawl or box. I think Marquez gives him the toughest fight, Barrera would be outwitted, and Morales would be stopped (did too much early in his career at 122, was pretty much shot by the time he got up to FW)

Nobody thinks he is god but maybe if you watch his championship fights you will see why most pick Sanchez, I say championship as those were his last fights before he died.

I dont think he would walk thru a prime Barrera but a TKO in rds 11 or 12 isnt out of the question, personally I think Sanchez wins a clear UD.
It would be a big upset if Barrera beat Sanchez (if they were in the same era prime for prime.)
