thats what I was gonna ask him, People just assume things, and assume they are right. How can we be sure? I personally think he will do good things, but I won't say for sure he will. Maybe its because I am not that dogmatic.
Damn, how much more evidence do people need that this guy is a knockout waiting to happen. I can't wait to see what happens when he starts fighting real competition.
gamboa is at the fresh stage in his career where he's trying to establish himself as a showman along with his total package of raw speed & talent. and in the process he's getting caught with many unnecessay shots. if he tightens up his defense and keeps his hands up, its a totally different story. he's a great up & coming fighter whos fun to watch but at this point i still see him losing to the top elite fighters. i like teddy atlas' comment, "gamboa is like a 19 year old kid driving a high performance sports car.. he's too young to understand the speed at times and comes in too fast at the wrong times.. "
I just hope he doesn't get KO'd anytime soon. If he can avoid getting KO'd in the next few years, he'll be ok
There's a reason he dropped down to 126 and that's because he can impose his will more on his opponents because of his offensive arsenal and he doesn't have to worry (as much) about getting hurt. I think he will struggle should he decide to move back up in weight.
