Some defence needs to be improved. Mainly intelligence. You can't reel of the amount of punches he did and not expect to get hit back. He wasn't content with potshotting or throwing less because he wasn't confident enough in his defence nor while punching on the move.

Cotto just didn't work the body like he could. Margo didn't have much body work to defend from. Cotto is king to the body, he should have done more.

It's true that Cottos stamina needs a tweak.

There weren't many landed??!! You gotta be shitting me...yea sure he didn't throw too many, but the few he did throw landed on it's target for the most part. Margarito throw 209345o809382 jabs that found only air. He landed a few shots, but an even less amount in comparison to Clottey. Most of Margaritos power shots hit either glove or Clottey's arms.

If Margarito landed that right hook or that uppercut that missed I mightve given him the round for the clean punches landed and the busier fighter, but he didn't and most of the shots that Clottey throw found its target and landed...and landed HARD! Listen to the thuds on those shots...they're not stay busy punches. Those shots had a bad intentions.

It WAS close...but a clear round for Clottey. :deal

I think if he raised his punch output...I think he can VERY well be the best WW out there. I think he has a better chin than Margo. He's more technically proficient than Margo, and I think he hits harder as well. If he threw more punches. I think he beats even P.Will. But he has stamina issues so that might be the case as to why he throws so little. I mean...if you watch his fights, you'd think he'd have more KO's but he doesn't throw enough.

Still, that round was FAR from clear. I can count the # of clean blows landed on my fingers and still have a few digits to flip the bird and pick my nose.
