I say yes, Dawson is a bigger man with a southpaw stance.
(Them southpaws are always a *****, even to other Southpaws)

Yes. Advantages in reach and power who is much slicker than Kessler and probably the only fighter Calzaghe would face who could punch with him for speed.

But workrate and chin and experience all definitely go to Calzaghe.

Dawson's speed and activity would give Joe more problems IMO.

Old Calzaghe schooled Kessler, yet wont sign to fight Chad Dawson, a far more lucrative bout.

    That there is your answer.

1/ you do realise calzaghe is self promoted , does dawson bring calzaghe more money than any other fighter out there ?

2/ what is more lucrative about dawson?
i have no idea why, but americans simply do not give a **** about dawson fights.
    no one turns up.
dawson v tarver 1 a big las vegas fight, old v new, good match up, and dawson got about 300 fans.
watch dawson v tarver 2 wherever it is held and it will be a small hall low key venue, because they know he does not put bums on seats.
sad but true for a man of his talent.

3/kessler v calzaghe had a 10 million approx pot of money, what are your figures for dawson v calzaghe , given that you say its a far more lucrative fight. ?

Dawson is a complete nobody is global terms.

Is he a good fighter? Yes.

Is he good enough to beat Calzaghe yet? No.

Is he more of a challenge than Kessler was? Probably not.

Southpaws are always tough fights for other southpaws, that alone would cause Joe some touble. Dawson is faster then Kessler, and able to adjust his gameplan.

Would Dawson beat Joe??? Im not sure, but he would beat Kessler:good

The answer is a definate yes. Stylewise, Dawson presents a stiffer challaege to Calzaghe than does Kessler.
