Why it won’t happen: Shaw said he won’t allow it to happen because Donaire bolted from his promotional firm to Top Rank. “No loyalty,” he said. “I wouldn’t reward (Donaire) with the opportunity or the payday. (Darchinyan) has a lot of options. He can stay at 115 or move up to 118 or even 122.” One possible matchup for Darchinyan could be Fernando Montiel, if he beats Donaire on March 15.

    from ring mag.

damn. That ****ing SUCKS! promoters killing the sport.

    I don't blame Gary Shaw...
there is no $ fighting Donaire, If you want to make money at the lower weight classes the fight's have to have Raza in it.
Darchinyan want's to follow the Paquiao blueprint to success.
(Right now there is alot of shop worn former Mexican great's ready to be taken...)

Check my avi... (Still got Travi to take out Darchinyan tho)

Vic is afraid of Nonito. Why did he split to another weight class? Anyway I hope someone Kayos that arogant ***** soon. I always root for Arce, but it's gonna be a hard fight. Just ask Mijares.

Yup Vic is scared shitless of Donaire. What a punk... Anyone who gets KTFO like he did and goes on to deny the whole situation is a total punk. **** that guy. that foo acts like the knockout never happened.

that's how you got to act when you get KTFO.

it's the fighters that can't get it out of their head that are ****ed...

Jeez, it seems like every time a promoter or manager doesn't want his fighter to fight some guy, because they can make more money fighting other guys or for some other reason, boxing fans accuse the fighter of being "scared." Like THEY can somehow read minds. It's ridiculous.

They should still acknowledge the truth though.. Just because they put themself in denial doesn't mean that the same thing wont happen in the future. He's the only fighter ive seen recently who's in complete denial.

Fight fans respect boxers who are gracious in defeat.

money talk, If showtime puts up the money for the fight it might happen, anything can be worked out if the money is right.

I seriously doubt Vic has any fear of a rematch, and while it would be great to see, it will be better if they make it impossible for Shaw to avoid it, when there is enough $$$$$ he will cave in, he's apromoter all he cares about is the bucks.

I believe Vic can beat a lot of fighters, but Donaire is not one of them. This is actually one case where I don't mind a bit of career evasion, because it's not like Darch is going to fight stiffs. There's some mouth watering matchup between Vic and others and they might not happen if Doniare slaps him back to the bottom of the pile.

Darchinyan and gracious don't go together...

Thing is, it speaks volumes when a fighter who got beat doesn't want a rematch. Vic doesn't want any part of that pinoy. :yep
