I am currently in the middle of reading Johnny Nelson's autobiography and came across this regarding the infamous sparring sessions between the two: -

"Herol bamboozled Chris for several days, much to the frustration of Barney Eastwood. Chris had studied Herol's style all week and finally fathomed it. He produced a thunderous punch that laid Graham out cold."

The sparring took place when Barney eastwood was Eubanks manager, so it must have been in the region of late 80's?

(Apologies if this has been posted before)

I have thought about this mythical matchup a few times......

Peak Graham vs pre-Watson II Eubank

    or

Peak Graham vs post-Watson II Eubank

Obviously the pre version was more inclined to use power punches, whilst the post version relied on the ability to make an opponent look stupid.

Eubank was paid £300 per week by Ingle to be a sparring partner.

It is alleged that during this period up in Sheffield Eubank copyied a up and coming Naseem Hamed in vaulting over the ring ropes.

Eubank introduced to the wider public at first........as Naz was yet to be a big star.

Eubank could only jump the ropes...............while Naz flipped head first over them !!!!

Eubank was so erratic, he picked his punches beautifully at times but then would often become minging as he tired. Post Watson he was a different fighter but the Wharton performance was a good one.
