well as bj is from the weight class below and also fought a very close fight i would still rank him higher. I also don't think gsp did alot to win the fight other than try and hold bj down which gives you points in ufc scoring but doesn't really work as you can do very little in a fight and just lay and pray and get the win.

So ? They did what they have to do and picked of some of the top fighters in the sport to make their company better and the sport better so we now have the majority of the top guys fighting under one company. Dont get mad at me because the Pride fighters arent kicking UFCs ass like everyone expected them to.

i am not bothered about which ifhgters beat which i have wached mma for a very long time and much prefer the format of the japanese mma events such as pride. I prefered the action, the ten minute first round the way fighting and not worthless takedowns and lay and pray was encouraged. Also the gp's were amazing i still watch them quite abit now as they have some of the best mma fights of all time in there.

    You clearly don't know ****.

There is more MMA on TV than anytime in the history of the sport, its on Spike, VS, HDnet, Showtime, and some local stations.

Not to mention Affliction, WVR, and all the other great shows.

Everybody needs to get the sand out of the vagina, quit being bitches, and realize that an org that never drug tested, never forced people to make weight unless they wanted that person to lose, payed out extra for fighters to lose by submission, never let opponents know who they were fighting, and were taking their orders from the mob deserves to die.

The UFC bought Pride because it is a better company, end of discussion.

***** like a school girl all you want about how much better the fights were in Pride, they were not, but realize that many of those fights were "directed" in a specific way to appeal to the fanbase. At least with the UFC you know what you are watching is always real.

UFC has it's flaws but as Beebs say Pride had more. UFC hype their up and coming fighters and Dana personally says this and that fighters is the best etc etc, that's their bull****. Pride fed their stars with worthless asian fighters once in a while, both to help a comeback and to just make their stars get experience and stats.

What I see as a big problem however is that UFC speaks alot TO the americans. I can here in Sweden see all UFC events live on TV without any ppv, yet Pride somehow felt more international. But, UFC will get better and better and I actually believe it will be spread over europe in just a few years(Not counting shows but fighters, pr etc etc). In Japan this whole MMA thing is like football or baseball in USA, but the problem with that is that we get to see fighters like Giant Silva, Bob sapp etc etc(Even though they can be very amusing :)). And they've been hanging on to their big stars not letting in new talents as good as UFC does. Today UFC has as far as I know all the upcoming fighters. But they still lack a good HW league.

I think the UFC is making a slow progression to being more international. I like that TUF has been including more and more talent from outside the U.S.

I hope that some day they will scout for more talent though the world especially Asia, Russia, and the Nordic region. Offer interpreters for them, or even just bring in a good mixes of talent from a single nation to keep it interesting and not too confusing.. Imagine how competitive Russian and Americans would be.. The possibilities are very interesting.

Stop talking ****, Pride was never broadcast in Britain.

Stop crying like a *****, the shower of **** of a show is dead because it was a shitty promotion run by crooks that was fraudulant and didn't pay fighters properly (and significantly less than UFC btw) it got bought by a superior product and company.

Big ****ing whoop, it had fireworks, a fancy song and a middle aged man in a nappy banging a drum,(and a ******ed screeching banshee) ****ing wow......it was a corrupt as **** and died a deserved death for doing what it was doing.

Pride is never coming back, you whining like a girl about it's demise and the ufc will NEVER bring it back...
So the best you can do is sit back and enjoy the premiere organization in the world; The ULTIMATE. FIGHTING. CHAMPIONSHIP!!

Not to be pedantic but it was screened on Eurosport and Men and Motors. Either way that wasnt my point. My point was that since the buyout has MMA got better and prospered as a result or is the UFC now in a better position to push its own brand possibly to the detriment of MMA as a whole. As for the moral standpoint taken by most here take the **** out of your eyes and see the wood for the trees. This is the hurt business. Its part and parcel of the game. Boxing has always been this way and MMA is no diffrent.

Whatever, I've never heard of such a preposterous station but even if it does exist it doesn't negate my other points..........stop whining about Pride being destroyed and accept the FACTS. The facts are that Pride ain't never coming back and UFC is the big dog. You bitching about it ain't gonna affect jack ****!!

AT the moment with the exception of the HW divison, the UFC has all the best fighters and best divisions out of any other organization!
A monopoly in this situation is a good thing, all the fighters can finally fight one another.

Dude Men and Motors has been around for ages. They used to do some decent porn back in the day :) It was a mens station designed to be a mens magazine similar to nuts.
