Clottey can be ugly and akward at times .. wouldn't say he's flat out boring though, but definitely not exciting. Top guys on my list: Winky Wright, Wladimir Klitschko, and Hopkins usually.
Im not a fan of Hopkins or Wladimir Klitschko, but atleast you know your watching a bit of quality when they are boring you, with Valuev you are getting nothing but visual abuse!!
You're just mad because he busted AM up, and received a bad decision, and some sorry scoring from the judges.
Hatton and Berto doesn't make sense at all on this list, except if you like to watch only Floyd Mayweather elite type boxing and don't have a diverse palate of taste. But I guess some people don't like his constant grabbing. I don't mind, it's a part of boxing. I really don't get the Berto pick though, as wildly as he throws those combinations.
I think people that have long lists of boxers that they find boring, are people that really aren't boxing fans, but boxing event fans. They want to see the action fights, but are part of the ADD generation so can't appreciate some subtlety. Wlad is boring, but even Corey, my second pick, has fought well in certain spots. He fights like an absolute *****, but I wouldn't necessarily consider him boring. Wlad takes the cake. I think that people that are picking Clottey just don't appreciate good boxing because I like his solid punches. If people knew how accurate and snappy some of his punches were, they would appreciate his style more, but that's asking a bit much from the average boxing watcher. Some people's picks of Hatton, Berto, & Pacquiao, just goes to show that if one doesn't like a certain fighter, they can mentally reclassify him anyway they choose.
Most of the truly boring fighters aren't in the top tens and stuff. They are the people in the lower ranks that never rise up. That's where you'll find the boring ones. Think Buddy Mgguirt Jr, for example.
Negative. So what if he beat margo for a few rounds? He didn't have the balls to finish it. Besides im not a fan of margarito so i could care less about what happens to him. It's just that I don't like clottey very much, he's rubbish. He lied about his hands, he has no heart, he lies that he's never been hurt in his boxing career lol, and he cheated Chico who happens to be one of my favorites. He's clearly not an elite fighter.
