Ok, so Vitali has a fith in March, that moves Haye to fight Wladimir. What's next for Arreola? I'm personally glad he's not getting one of the brothers yet, as an American fight fan I know he needs some more work first. So what should be his next step? I personally thought a fighter like Tony Thompson would be good for Chris. Yes Thompson got destroyed against Wlad in 2008 but 1). he needs a fight as he had to pull out of the fight with James Toney last month, 2). he's overly cautious and defensive (while he won virtually every round it did take Wlad until the later rounds to KO him) which would help Chris get experience fighting that type of fighter and 3). he could look at the Wlad fight as a measuring stick against what he does with Thompson. Who do you think Arreola should and will fight next? I just think its time for him to move beyond the complete journeyman and fellow up and commers and see how he does against the fringe contenders.
Pots and pots of Menudo..Then a brutal KO later this year at the hands of Wlad Klitshcko or Sam Peter, whoever gets to him first
Arreola is a pimp though, gotta give him that. I was at the Williams/margarito fight where Arreola fought on the undercard and after the fight, he had two fine ass latinas in each arm just pimpin it. Latinas like him i guess. He's still a gatepkeeper though
Arreola should fight someone like Ibragimov, Brock, Chambers, Peter, Thompson, Dimentrenko, etc. No more soft touches, time to prove your worth I say! If he wants a title shot he might as well prove he's worth it whilst sorting out some of the pretenders.
He needs to get in the gym, badly. These morbidly obese boxers are making boxing look bad, they could at least be over muscled. Plus it's making easy work for the Klitschkos who clearly have a great work ethic.
