Here it comes.... Briggs will come back, and beat nobody of note... and people will say that Wlad is ducking him.

Wlad and Vitlay are both without doubt ducking Briggs.

Unlike Haye, here is a man that has thoroughly proved himself* at heavy, and is still getting ducked.

*proved that he is about 50 pounds too heavy and can be guaranteed to throw about 4 punches around.

I doubt that either Klitschko is ducking Briggs. If Briggs comes back he must earn his shot.

hopefully he doesn't fight all "tuneups" and then get a title shot like he did a couple of years ago. briggs should concentrate on beating at least a fringe contender before even talking about a klitchko. based upon his last form versus sultan ibrag, he won't do **** against klitchko and vitaly would just punish him all night from long range. that said if he gets himself in decent cardio shape this time and actually earns a title shot, i''ll watch him

His tune-up should be against Chagaev, Chagaev is coming back around that time. Let's see if either one has something left.

Widdow, call me crazy, but I think this is a good fight for Wlad.

For one thing, he would surely win it.

But I think if people saw Wlad school a big, powerful puncher like Briggs, it might just silence some of the critics.

Ibragimov already did it in '07. He won practically every round. Only a KO is more of a schooling. Wlad should fight Haye, Povetkin, and Valuev.

I would love to see an of those fights. What I am talking aobut is more or a "styles make fights" kind of thing.

You always here people talk about Wlad's size advatange. "He is so physically gifted he should have knocked Ibragimov out." That kind of thing. When he does fight big fighters, his detractors always jump in with "unfortunately, Ray Austin/Tony Thompson/insert fighter here hasn't really got the power..."

I just hink if he licked another big, power punching heavy, it would go a long way to erasing the Corrie Sanders loss in a lot of detractor's minds.
