He will call out Margarito who will be coming off a loss to Shane Mosley. Margarito will take the fight and Margarito fans will claim he deserves the big pay-day vs the fearless Pac-Man. After Pac boxes Margarito silly to a UD Margarito will claim he was robbed and his fans will never give Pac credit for his conquering of the Tijuana Tornado. Manny will offer Margarito a rematch but Margarito will take a fight for 2 million less. Margarito fans will insist he started too slowly against Pac and will surely KO him in a 2nd fight but Margarito will never take the rematch with fans still claiming he was coming on in the later rounds.
If he beats Hatton he should come back down to 135 where he belongs and take care of unfinished business with marquez. Or he can stay at 140 and get down with the X rated Holt.
Delusional? Maybe, but many thought when I picked Hopkins over Pavlik and Pac over ODLH I was maybe delusional too.
Mosley would be an easier fight for Pacquiao, and if Shane had just beaten Margarito, then I'm pretty sure it would be a much better fight for his legacy (and pocket), so this logic is terrible!
I think Manny sweeps the early rounds but as soon as Margo starts to find his range it goes downhill very swiftly for the PacMan. He won't be able to hurt Margo with anything and unlike DLH, Margo is very willing and able to pull the trigger at any opportunity that presents itself. Pac has a pretty good defense but he won't be able to avoid everything, and Margo gets some serious leverage on his shots when he faces shorter men. I think Margo will start to walk him down somewhere around the midway point and eventually stops a bruised and bloody Pac late in the fight.
