I agree....super talented but many holes both defensively and offensively. His ability is definitly there but he has some bad AM habits that havn't been shook yet.

The Hype around this Kid is warranted to an extent, but not the way most are Hyping this kid up. There was so much talk about Gam beating PAC at this stage in his career.....:nut....I think he needs to be brought along SLOWLY! But progressivley! He can shake some of those habits by getting in rounds and working on better defense in fights that are winnable.

All this talk abut the JMM, PACs, Valero's and even Linares are WAAAAAAY too much too soon for Gam. He has the tools and talent to be great....but only if he's brought along in a way that will give him time to hone his PRO skills.

Down the road is the key word! He needs some time to work on his PRO style and shake some of those bad habits that worked well in the AM's.

Nobody's saying that. Mayweather was simply breathtaking at 130. Gamboa obviously has holes in his defense and is wreckless at times with his offense; with that said, he still might have more raw talent than Mayweather did.

I hope the ESPN crew does a better job than last time. They had that stupid delay and we had Vai Sikehema talking out of his arse for a good 30 minutes.

I did not follow boxing in roy jones jr's prime. How would you guys rate Gamboa's speed/reflexes to Roy Jones Jr?

The guy is good. Very good! But you guys need to remember something. Gamboa has much more experience than what his record says. I know it was in the amateurs. But in other countries amateur boxers have jobs and then they go to the gym. In Cuba when you are an amateur boxer, that's ALL YOU DO. YOU ARE A PRO WITHOUT THE PAY. THEY GIVE YOU WHAT YOU NEED TO LIVE. BUT they spend more time in the ring than many pros in USA. That's why he looks so experienced regardless of his small record. I have to wait and see what happens when he fights someone with some punching power
