Richard Schaefer, on behalf of Golden Boy Promotions, has made an earth shattering announcement today. Oscar Delahoya, coming off the wake of his embarassing TKO loss to P4P sensation Manny Pacquaio, has signed to fight one of the purest and most brilliant young talents in the sport. On Cinco De Mayo of this year 2009 Oscar will yet again take on a smaller, but younger fighter in the "Best Damn Sports Show Stand-Out" Pretty Boy Bam Bam! The fight will be at a catchweight of 140lbs, it was last reported that Bam Bam's current weight is 75lbs. When asked about his opponents size disadvantage Oscar has said "Look we offered the kid 2% of the PPV buys! How much money is he gonna make fighting in the 75lb division haha, I'm the one that has to starve myself..." Oscar hopes to score a convincing KO victory over the future, but not yet prime Bam Bam and set up a super fight for September with a fighter who hasn't been decided!

he has got some speed there. However i hope all this training and shyt dont stunt his growth. Yes it can stunt groth by not giving him the right foods and making him train to much and not get enough sleep. Plus he is 6 he should be getting ready for school. There too many factors.

Regarding his talent, skills and ability.....@ this age he is unreal! No one knows what the future holds for him but if he continues to LOVE the sport and not get burnt out or doesn't go down the wrong path he has a **** load of potential....as anther poster stated earlier..."intagibles" are unknow as well but given the early start and how he accepted the sport he'll have an advantage than most in or around his age as he grows up on pure skill, instinct and knowlege. So I see a VERY promising AM career but Pros are something else. The best AM fighter won't equate to the best Pro boxer 100% of the time. But it's a good foundation of course.
