I'm looking to train just for a way to stay in shape... normally I play basketball but its to hard to find a good run and my ankle is kind of messed up right now....

how much would it cost to have someone personal train you in boxing?

not to be professional or anything but just for fun and to stay in good condition

    Personal trainer?

Go join a gym, meet new friends and trainers. Once you're settled you will have a good time.

i'm saying though... like i want to learn actual techinique and skills from someone..

Like alot of gyms have a base membership which means you can use their equipment which is cool... but i want to learn how to actually box..

I'm trying to figure out how much it will cost ... or atleast a range

It'll cost you more than finding a proper gym with a proper trainer who takes you under his wing, I can promise you that much.

I train. Prices in Ohio can range anywhere from $15 - $100 dollars a month. Some charge hourly. Depends on the gym/ trainer.

not necessarily. it depends on what it is there for. like my gym is a non-profit organization and it is free for kids and whatever donations you can make as an adult. they like to charge 30 but if you cant pay that much then you can work it out with the coach.

and it is a very good gym.

If you want personalized instruction, you will be charged a personalized price, probably by the hour. It ain't gonna be cheap. Most guys join the local gym and get whatever instruction is available. Boxing tends to be a relatively cheap sport to enter because the people involved don't usually have much money.

You don't need personal training in the beginning anyway, at least I didn't. You don't want the first few hundreds of hours of practice to cost 50 bucks an hour, when all you do is learning how to punch. You can do that perfectly well in group lessons.

you could get a list of boxing coaches from you LBC the local boxing commission. there head office for USA boxing is at www.usaboxing.org I also have a few links on my site that has sites that will list boxing instructors and schools.

the best thing is to ask around in your own area. the cost of training usually depends on how big your city is.

i'm a personal trainer and I charge $55 per month, but the city i'm in is only about 8 thousand people. In a large city a personally trainer could charge $55 per session.

but if you can get into a club that'll charge between 40 nd 50 bucks a month that a pretty good price. And any boxing will well your hand eye coordination and build endurance. This would help any sport.
