think they're more jeff thomas fans on here than gomez, jeffs reports have swayed the majority i think
It was actually meant tongue in cheek and was a little dissapointed it took so long for a bite. Anyways I have some irish blood in me somewhere so come on Gomez!! lol I am kidding
I hope it is the Kelvin Hall, I hope i was wrong with my post earlier. I've since read an article from Alex Morrison where he was saying he wants Willie Limond on the same bill and how it would be great to have it at the Kelvin Hall.
hi icemax i can do welter no problems but the people i fight have always come in at anywhere between 10-10 to 11-2 so i always get told to come in at 10-10 if anything im looking at doing light welter once i put the footie boots away spoke to dave tonight he said they are stepping me up in class in 09 so time to sink or swim mate
you are truley underestimating ricky burns,he is a diffrent boxer than 20 months ago, jeff should know how good he is he couldnt lay a glove on him when they boxed and burns is 50% better than then.ricky will be the first scot to beat micheal gomez
Billy, Ricky is a tremendous fighter and your right many are underestimating him. You've done a great job with him and he's certainly improved since we fought. I've often been the first to sing his praises on here, and I still talk to him on facebook-He's a cracking lad. I don't understand the point your trying to make regarding my 'fight' with Ricky. Were you at my fight with Ricky? Because I certainly did lay a glove on him and feel I did fairly well for an asthmatic who hadn't been in the gym for weeks and only took the fight at 2 days notice because it was my birthday, my gran had died and I was skint. But ultimately ourfight is completely irrelavant.... Ricky and yourself have my respect and Team Gomez are very much aware that this will be an incredibly difficult fight. It should be a great night and one where the winner will come out with a great deal of kudos. :good
Thanks for the reply Curtis. It wasn't until recently that I found out that you were also a pro footballer(I can't think of any other England under 19 players who have laced up the gloves), at least all the miles that you have accumulated in your legs over the years will stand you in very good stead in the ring. Good luck and I hope to see you fight again in the near future :good
Certainly Billy, its no grudge match you most certainly have our respect. See you there- please god and we'll share a beer after.
