I didn't say he couldn't hurt Hatton (and if he can hit Hatton like he could hit Diaz then I'm sure he'll hurt Hatton pretty badly), I said he's not this 140lb powerpuncher that some people are making out.

People seem unwilling to put Lazcano down to "a bad day at office" while choosing to ignore all the occasions Hattons chin has held up when tested but, either way, I'd say 27 KOs in 37 wins all as a career 135 lbs+ fighter makes Lazcano a more proven puncher than Pac at 135 lbs

I'm not trying to make out that he hits like he did at bantam but he still has some pop and I can see him beating Hatton to the punch again and again if he can maintain the distance.

Thats going to be big decider in the fight, if Pac can keep at range then he'll probably win by eithetr points or maybe late stoppage but if he can't he's up against something he's never faced at 130+ before.......very interesting fight!!

agree with what bassie and gaz just said for pac-man to win this needs keep the distance. should be interesting how styles clash. as for p4p champ, think depends on the fight out come, maybe still pac-maan if fight is competetive and close. even if it is a hatton wins i dont think ricky has it, maybe im just a hater coz i couldnt say who id put p4p champ if pac-man looses :D
    chck this out

I am normally very nervous about picking the outcome of fights, there are so many variables to consider for anything to be an absolute given.......however, with this matchup I don't think that I have ever been so confident about a pick in my life. I am not really a Hatton fan, I don't particularly like his style, but I honestly think that with his ability to marshall opposition, his underestimated footwork and his natural and superior strength at the weight he will hand the little man a severe beating. Hatton KO (not TKO)5 Pacman...take it to the bank :rasta

I think Hatton definetly has a better chance than many assume over at the GF...think about it a few years ago alot of us were calling such a fight a freak show because of the percieved advantages Hatton would have at the weight namely size and strength...

Pac has obviously proven he can be effective far above his natural weight class....he's an incredible talent and a fantastic fighter...but I am starting to believe that Hatton may well be able to pose his will on him like no other...how will Pacman react to be thrown about the ring like a rag doll? Will he slow down if Hatton can land some of those thudding body shots?

Then again Hattons there to be hit....and speed kills.

    50-50 fight.

hatton will be p4p number 1 if he beats pacman, jmm and cotto

as for may 2nd i wont be surprised at all if pacman completely shuts out hatton and the fight is stopped around the 9th although i suspect hatton will put up a better fight than that

Pacman is too clever for Hatton and will do a complete number on him. He might even get Hatton to slam his head into all four turnbuckles.

Using that criteria Steven Hawking would absolutely school the Pinoy. Clever is all well and good, but in the heat of battle strength, power and will power count above anything else.

Pac has not been in with a live opponent over 130 and he is going to find out pretty quickly that Hatton is not David Diaz or a ****ed up and weight drained Oscar.

Hatton has a great chance in this fight, hes fighting a great fighter in Manny but even Manny aint no Floyd and its not at WW ..
Manny has been given plenty of props for the De La Hoya win but in my opinion you have to look at Oscar in that fight. I dont want to take anything away from Manny's performance but Oscar was dead at 147, he thought he could boil down to a weight he hadnt fought at for a number of years and he was wrong, Oscar thought 'even if i weaken myself, i can still take out a natural Super-Feather'.
Hatton is a totally different prospect. If Hatton can get those beautiful body-shots working then i cant see Manny lasting the night. I feel Ricky in his last few fights has been head-hunting a little too much, his strength has always been to work the body in a cumulative way so that by the middle rounds his LW opponents are always struggling ..
Im not the biggest Hatton fan in the world because i prefer a silkier style like Leonard or RJJ but i strongly fancy Ricky for this particular fight ..
