I must have missed something. Can't see where, in that article, it says that Bowe intended to face Lewis after Dokes, Mercer and Holyfield. In any case, even if it did, it's one man's opinion. Not a very convincing counter I have to say. What the article did state was that Newman led him down the route of most money without taking a risk. Which is exactly what Lewis would have been! Which is why Bowe never had ANY intention of laying it on the line against him.

You can say what you want but the true is that Bowe was more talanted. Like I say before I liked more Lewis and he is in my top 10 ever but Bowe was exelent and best in that time when Tyson was in prison ....

Just watch HBO legendary nights and will profe who was best ....

I voted for Lewis, but I don't think it is anywhere as easy as people are making it as.

    Well...........

No offence, but your opinions are biased by love/hate for certain fighters, and are utter shite.

Having Ruiz above V. Klit for starters, WTF!

Your an idiot. I don't mind disputes about who would win on an h2h basis between Bowe and Lewis, but to actually rank Bowe higher than Lewis on any list of achievements is ridiculous. If you are a writer or consider yourself some kind of expert, you should be embarrassed to post that list. And I'm not a kid, there's a good chance that I've been watching boxing longer than you've been alive.

After reading the linked article RE: Bowe facing Lewis after Dokes,

The author muses that both fighters were almost inseperable in almost every aspect
    Height
    Weight
    Skills

Unfortunately for Bowe he did'nt have Lewis's heart, courge or intelligence

I see this fight as a tough night for Bowe where Lewis beats him to the jab and catches him too easily with heavy rights. Bowe is down in the first four rounds before Lewis Knocks him out in round 7.

But why? seriously, you need to explain that. Holyfield was half his size, they went toe to toe and both looked good in trading punches. Sub Holyfield for Tyson and you get Bowe knocked out in about four rounds. A great fight does not a great fighter make. He was certainly a very good fighter but not one of the very best ever. I think Lewis, Holy, Tyson all eclipse him. Lewis I think would tko him mid to late rounds. bowe had a fairly good chin, but for all this talk of him being a potential great who got fat and screwed it all up, he sure was easy to hit-even when in shape. Lewis was too powerful and too accurate a puncher for Bowe, that's only my opinion of course. Yes he was very good on the inside but we're talking a fight that's going to be on the outside for the duration. Bowe isn't Ray Mercer and chances are it wouldn't be in a little ring, he wouldn't walk through Lewis.

If you're a writer then you must have got your job through some sort of care in the community program. I know infants wth better grammar and spelling than yours. Or are you so dedicated that you write with boxing gloves on?
