Raheem was worn out goods when he met Funeka Its hard to pick a fighter who lost to Fana against the likes of Campbell
that's what's wrong with boxing. all sanctioning bodies prevent the best taking on the ebst. they want the champs to face ****ing madatories
Good for Nate. he's doing it for the right reasons, better fights and bigger money all without payin the WBA fees to mandate **** fights. nates no spring chicken.
Campbell is older and he has always been a up and down fighter. One fight he looks like a p4p guy the next fight he looks like a clubfighter. Never really know who will show up...It wouldnt shock me if Funeka beat him.
Campbell beats Funeka fairly easy. Wont be the first time we've disagreed though. We surely have had our differences at other forums. eg.(BoxingTime) been a while though.
Im picking him to win the fight, im just saying with his history of not always showing up it wouldnt shock me if he lost.
WBA are bottom of the pile now, there a complete joke and after the last 2 years with 3 champion in one divison at the same time.
Nate doesn't need it. He's recognized as the man to beat at Lightweight. JMM is up there too right behind NAte, IMO.
Actually, the plan is to fight Funeka, then the JMM-Diaz winner, and THEN the Barrera mando. The JMM-Diaz winner is PRIORITY ONE after Funeka. Obviously, if Diaz wins I have my doubts that we can make the fight, so in that instance it would probably be the Barrera mando then......
If unification is your ideal then I'm not sure how vacating belts moves it forward? Could someone explain to me how Barerra got to be WBO mandatory?
Apparently, and obvious before, he doesn't really care about unifying, he just wants to be known as THE MAN of the division
Actually, thats not true. He does want to unify, but he also knows that with the WBC situation, with Suliamn probably never stripping Pac as long as theres $$$$ involved, plus now an interim WBC with Valero-Pitalua, unifying is just not probable. At least not this year. But you are correct in that he does want the respect of being "the man" in the division.......
