All I hear is JMM won his 2nd fight with Pac - no mention that Pac DID win their 1st!

Some people genuinely think Juan Manlover won rounds 3-12. The only reason I can think of, however stupid, is taking punches when having a mop full of wet hair can give an exaggerated impression to some people.

I disagree, a close round it is but i scored it for marquez, manny eats a lot of flush counter rights in that round and marquez is working the body well, manny a little to reckless and while certainly hitting marquez wih his lefts the better cleaner shots are in the main coming from marquez not pacqauio

Here's the round in question for all that want to score it

I had it 113-112 Pacquiao. Close fight but the Manny exceptional first round gave him the edge.

Agreed, no robbery in either fight, i also had marquez winning both but i could easily accept an argument for pac winning both as well, lets hope they get the 3rd on some time

    :good

I have never actually sat down and scored the fight (pen and paper style), but I felt Marquez had done enough on the night: to me he seemed to have firm control after the 2nd round.

I think the SKY commentators had it something like 115-110 to Marquez on the night; it wasn't that wide, and their chitter-chatter may have influenced me somewhat.

I'll go back and score it soon, then see what my "official" card reads.

Forget Lederman and Merchant. As I posted in the other current JMM/Pac thread, Lederman's scoring history is extremely dodgy. He is a popular guy and an HBO employee, they are not going to humiliate him on live TV by berating his scorecard. Remember when he scored Paul Williams 115-113 over Quintana? The announcers politely noted they see it differently, when they could have justifiably lashed out at his awful judging.

Remember that Larry Merchant scored the second fight for Marquez. Then after wards, he completely ignored his own comments and celebrated a dominant victory for Pac. Merchant does not hide his bias towards Pac, nor does the rest of the HBO crew.

I scored it a draw.. It's very impressive how JMM came back from those 3 kds and went on to show his level as a great counterpuncher against pac. I'm goind to watch it again soon and then post my official scorecard if i have time.

Pac was more aggressive, busier and landed several shots on JMM, but JMM landed the cleaner shots and outboxed pac on the middle rounds. Neither man did enough to win. It's a fair decision on the judges

    Just watched rds 3 & 4 there.

I gave JMM rd 3 by slimest of margins, mainly due to some body shots but an even rd is also acceptable.

Rd 4 was even as can get IMO.
