Hopkins is my favorite fighter but the only way you can score it for him is if you are completely biased with your scoring. He looked crisp and solid in the first four but he did almost nothing from 5-12. I just don't see how one can say Hopkins won.
When i watched it live I had it 10-8 hopkins for the first round and 10-9 hopkins for the 2nd, 3rd and 10th and calzaghe all the rest making it 115-112 to Joe. When I watched it at home I thought hopkins deservered the 4th round as well making it 114-113 Joe. Joe won by higher output also he changed after the 3rd or 4th round and Hopkins couldn't to win it. I get annoyed when people say that if Hopkins went for it a bit more he would of won because Joe is much better when people come at him.
I dont have my exact scorecard but I thought Calzaghe won a close fight, Hopkins landed a few single hard shots & made Joe miss a lot but he never landed nearly enough himself & Joe did land punches in amongst those missed ones... Joe forced the fight throughout, even in rd 1 after being floored + Hopkins faked being hurt when tired, for that alone Calzaghe was the winner in my eyes.
i like bhop more than JC but u r just wrong...the guy who didn't do enough is ur boy BHOP...in all 3 fights...he got outworked PERIOD...he stopped throwning punches and got outworked
we are still having thia discussion because it hurts bhop fans ro admit the obvious...he lost...and i hate calzaghe...:deal
:yep:yep:yep Calzaghes own father thought he'd lost, says it all. I had it B-Hop by 114-113 or 115-112, watched it 3-4 times now. Not ****ing watching it again though, **** that.
This is the largest of the three polls: http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/poll.php?do=showresults&pollid=3906 And two others: http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/poll.php?do=showresults&pollid=3876 http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/poll.php?do=showresults&pollid=3888 There were others as well. I compilead an aggregate of them all around a month after the fight and it was 81-19 in favour of Calzaghe. (Some folks voted in more than one poll, on both sides)
