What would it be or do you think he should fight the same way he did before Hopkins?
I say upper-body movement. He looks stiff as a board and if he slipped more then there's more opportunity to counter, and that's a vicious combination considering his power at 160.

Everything u mentioned plus more head movement, develope some boxing skills, and tighten up that defense.

Pavlik was making all kinds of excuses after the fight and frankly, he really did look like a cadaver in there. Im talking about from the 1st round on.

I don't think he had any idea what to do because he never fought anyone very technically sound. Jermaine was a little better in the 2nd fight but nothing like B-hop. His trainer who I have a low opinion of did not have anything useful to tell him either.

As Hopkins stated after the fight."don't wonna take anything away from yo pops
but if you train with some black fighter you get some black hip hop soul rhythm like James Brown"

You know, I think B-hop should train him!

It could be that Bhop presented the problem. But not being able to pull the trigger, thats just odd. Unlike many here, Im willing to give Pavlik a benefit of a doubt and see if he can work his way into a rematch

Just one thing? Teach him to use a lead left hook as well as he uses his jab.

    Second? More head movement.

    Third? Lateral movement.

You're never going to turn Pavlik into a slick boxer, but I think if you put the above 3 things together with what he already does, he would be a much better "stalker" than he is now.

Give Pavlik the 3 things I mentioned above, and full access to BHop's brain, and THAT is one scary mother****er!

Agreed. I think a really great left hook would be wicked for him.

Lateral Movement would be number one for me, but all are good points.

As usual, hammer on the nail. IMO, alot of it is those long ass legs, very useful against alot, hell of a detriment when in trouble or needing to move.

Mr. Hopkins continually slid off the ropes to Pav's right, a BUNCH of the time with both hands out to his sides, and a right hook to the body was there tons of times. I don't know, Mr. Hopkins is the MAN.:yep
