All I hear is JMM won his 2nd fight with Pac - no mention that Pac DID win their 1st!

How many drawn rounds have you got??!?!!

  2. I'd take the third round (i'm watching the fight now and scoring it) as a clear Marquez round - Pac did very little and was clearly shown to be slowed down and more ineffective by Marquez's accuracy and counterpunching.

Pacquiao by a point.I think it depended on round 7 just as the second fight depended on round 12.

Just went back and rescored it now, i had it a draw 114-114

    Round 1 10-6 Pac
    Round 2 10-9 Pac
    Round 3 10-9 JMM
    Round 4 10-10
    Round 5 10-9 JMM
    Round 6 10-9 JMM
    Round 7 10-9 JMM
    Round 8 10-10
    Round 9 10-9 JMM
    Round 10 10-9 Pac
    Round 11 10-9 JMM
    Round 12 10-10

I know i am opening myself up to some **** by posting round by round scores as the convention round here seems to be to offer no score then ridicule those who bother.;)

I am also a believer in even rounds if no obvious winner, though to play devils advocate it does leave room to "cop out" when there is a close round and we don't need crap judges giving 9 rounds even as they are to scared to make a mistake.

In the end though boxing judging is all a bit subjective so i won't get drawn into long arguments over who wins fights this close, I have no probs with any won who has it 2 points in either fighters direction, though any more than that seems like nut-huggery.

Oh and BTW I had Jmm winning 2nd fight by 1 to 2 points at the time.

The one thing i think we can all agree on, and IMO the conclusion from this thread, is that we defo need a 3rd fight! Hopefully one with decisive winner one way or the other!

Only JMM fans are interested in this fight, he needs to give pacfans the most impressive performance v.s diaz or victor ortiz so that fans will have a reason to crave for a 3rd match. He is not a proven welter yet, i say he is not at pac level right now.

If GDP believed JMM is the best contender to dismantle pac, they should have earned the first ticket to hatton before pac.

Man.. this thing should get dropped already..
The only real way to settle this is to have that 3rd fight..

Re-Watched the remtach on Saturday and without a doubt PAC won....Grant it...it was close, but I had PAC up by 2 rounds to take the fight. 11 was close and it could have gone either way, but I felt PAC did better that round which is why he was up by 2 points on my card, but up by 1 point wouldn't be a terrible call either. Anyone who says JMM won the rematch is clearly biased or has an odd way of judging a fight which lacks logic.

C'mon, 5 even rounds? The majority of those (particularly the 3rd and 4th) should've gone to Marquez IMO. I had the fight a draw as it was.

Draw is reasonable IMO but I still had PAC a clear winner in a very closley contested fight in the rematch....the first fight...however you scored it is irrelevant b/c at the end of the day the judge gave JMM a nice gift of a draw! With that said JMM did box very well under the circumstances that took place the very 1st round. I had PAC winning by a round.
