Cotto vs Williams who you think will win?

im 100% quintana doesnt want a rematch...


in a recent article when quintana was talking about how he rolled his ankle for his fight that thats supposed to be on espn 2 this thursday....

he said he feels ready to get back on track and is ready to challenge anyone

I will be biased since Cotto is my favorite fighter at the moment but to say Williams blows him out of the water like some people say is exagerating. Cotto does have a chance against williams. Cotto UD.

 

agreed. its naaive of anybody to say that cotto or williams wins convincingly.

i'd favor williams slightly b/c his height, reach, speed & the overall stylist matchup.

but dont get it twisted, williams' defense isnt impregnable and cotto has a better shot at beating paul as opposed to margo imo.

 

I disagree. Cotto has a very shakey chin, he's been hurt in a handfull of fights, & PW has alot of power in his punches, & now he's sitting down on them too. PW is faster than AM & will get to Cotto faster, which means PW will be in Cotto's face even more than AM was. PW's defense is leaky, but its still better than AM's. PW's size is gonna be a big problem for Cotto. PW will get Cotto out in less than 4 rounds,

 

Williams' defense is **** but it won't matter because he has such huge physical advantages over Cotto on top of stamina and chin. Unless Cotto KOs him with a perfect liver shot it's going to be a long night.

Quintana is a much better pure boxer than Cotto which is how he was able to beat Williams and southpaws give even southpaws problems. Carlos got overconfident and said he would go after Paul in the rematch and try to knock him out which was a big big mistake. Quintana is obviously not a very durable fighter so you have to go after him like Cotto did because he's an excellent boxer off the backfoot.

I think Williams KOs Cotto. Williams sits down on his punches and his huge reach and height advantage will make it hard for Cotto to get inside.

 

Cmon man are you serious? If it took Margo 11 i doubt PW takes him out less than 4. I know your a fan of the guy but he is not gonna bulldoze Cotto like that. you make it seem like it will be similar to Tua-Ruiz.

 

It wouldnt be surprising at all. PW is gonna be on Cotto way more than AM was. All it takes is one solid PW hook & Cotto's chin may give.

 

PW is freakish the way he can jump weight classes. The guy's pretty special. And the way he's been sitting down on his punches of late, it wouldn't shock me one bit if he takes out Cotto within 4. Williams is just so much bigger than Cotto.

 

Exactly. Cotto will have a very hard time landing bodyshots because he's gonna be too concerned about protecting his head. Once this fight starts going PW's way, Cotto will be in trouble. Theres no way Cotto will win. I'm not even a gambling man, but I would make a fotune off of this fight being that theres so many Cotto lovers.
