FREDDIE MACK, the legendary boxer and DJ, passed away on Sunday 11th Jan. at the age of 76 in Lanarkshire Scotland where he has lived for many years.

During his boxing career he achieved memorable victories against Jack Bodell, Chick Calderwood and Sante Amonti.

As an actor he appeared alongside Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor in Cleopatra and was also in the hugely popular Scottish police drama, Taggart.

Almost an early rapper, Freddie fronted several bands during the 60s and 70s. He released the hit single ‘Kung Fu Man’ as Mr. Superbad.

Using the same name Freddie became a top DJ for Scotland’s Radio Clyde, hosting the popular “Superbad’s Midnight Boogie Time”

He founded the Scots Boxing Hall of Fame in 2001
