Um, he's the top 140 in the world, by a good margin.

He's beaten a lot of good fighters and gave PBF one of his toughest fights.

He has arguably the biggest fan following and support in boxing as well as being the lineal champ at the weight pac man wants to seemingly settle at. I personally think it should be split 50/50 though.
Dear God! Bearing in mind that Hatton is the champ at 140 and Pac has said he will never fight below that weight again then who else is there out there? What better fight is there for him than Hatton? If you're going to say a third bout with JMM then fair enough, there is a case for it. If not then who else? Holt? Bradley? Juan Diaz? Campbell? Even the top guys at welter wouldn't earn him half the money and probably wouldn't be half as winnabe fights either!
pac is the most marketable commodity in boxing right now, everyone wants a piece of this guy. if Hatton dont want to budge, him and his fans can f### off to hatton wonderland. only british fans watch hatton. the world watches pacquiao. The most exciting fighter on the planet.

I dont know what fight you were watching but Hatton did not give Mayweather one of his toughest fights... the first round was a bit awkward but after that he gradually got hattons timing down and well everyone else here saw the end result.

Manny and Hatton need to fight. It is a good fight for boxing but in my opinion it needs to happen so that Manny and Mayweather will be even bigger!!!

Pac wouldnt beat margarito hed get a lesson from pbf, he has never had a fight at light welter, he cant just come to hattons weight a weight hatton has never lost at and make out hes the main man, hatton has had the biggest selling fight post world war 2! any way pac wont last with hatton pac beat up a weight drained de la hoya, in my opinion jmm beat pac both times and lets not forget the most forgotten fight in history when pac got his ass handed to him by a faded morrales 4 years ago!

i dont see Jeff on here now that we just saw manny get knocked out... by the way im a massive many fan, just think its sad when you see a man on a boxing forum expens so much energy to slag of an elite fighter such as ricky hatton, or any other top fighter for that ,matter. im sure in manny's long career he has fought many men below the standards of ricky before , and will no doubt do so in the future

seriously the Hatton fight doesn't excite me that much. I'd rather see Pac vs JMM, Campbell, PBF, Cotto, or even Berto if he beats Collazo.

funny how every ones true colours come out. you are right Jeff, pac is the man. and if hatton dont wanna take the fight he can dwindle away to boxing obscurity. pacquiao dont need hatton.

140 weight class is not oozing with talent is it. Hatton is overrated

artof war - 'funny how every ones true colours come out' - It was Manny who was not happy with negotiations, how come it's all Ricky's fault all of a sudden?

Maybe. Doesn't change the fact that there are more of them willing to pay to watch him than to watch Pacquiao! Which is where the fighters' pay comes from!

hatton is popular in brittain. pac is popular in america, south america and asia. he is the most exciting fighter in the world, and is a boxing legend. he should get a bigger piece. If Hatton had the same credentials i wouldn't have a problem with that.
