Is Hatton an ELITE fighter today?

    I'm sorry, I'd like a quote where somebody has stated Hatton beat prime Tzsyu.

    Hatton is elite. One loss to Floyd Mayweather does not mean a fighter is bad.

    That's kind of dumb; it doesn't have to be an 'either-or' situation. I think a fair definition of 'elite' is the 10 best fighters in the world, and for my money Hatton isn't one of them.

    his record says so hes not the classiest of boxers but he still wins you dont have to be a floyd style boxer to be called elite

    No, but to my way of thinking 10 best fighters based on quality and quantity of achievements is a fair way of deciding elite, and by that standard Hatton just misses out.

    ok personaly i would have him about 8th on what he has done so far but to be the number 1 in your devision in the whole damm world is pretty elite to me

    It's impressive for sure, but I don't think being #1 in a weak division automatically makes one an elite fighter. Think Kelly Pavlik.

    calzaghe career has been protected for a long while. he has not been fighting the greatest opposition so ring deterioaration has not affected him as much.
