No place for a kid. very volitile atmosphere as far as I have read. Between the Black Muslim's, Mob & Racists of the time. Liston even stated later, he expected shots to be fired during the fight.

Corbett - Sullivan. Would love to observe Gentleman Jim in his element as he outboxes the Boston Strongboy.

Benn - Mclellan. Even watching on the telly was enough to make me feel like i'd injected a gallon of adrenaline. The crowd that night was mental .

Failing that i've always wanted to visit Zaire .

Joe Jeanette versus Sam McVey (1909) Jeanette gets off the floor after having been knocked down 27 times :yikes to win a 50 round TKO over Mcvey after he had in turn been knocked down 19 times. The brutality of this may have turned me away from the sport ,however.

The fight footage does have a pretty good shot, and you DO see the effect, Corbett down, out of breath, tugging and trying to pull himself off the ropes, and but does not make it.

I choose a non film fight, I mean sure I see a lot of Ali Fraziers or Hagler Hearns ete, but thsos fights are film and in pretty good condition.
I go with a long lost fight film or even go pre film.

Your right pal,the footage is quite good,Jim is obviously badly winded and temporarily parylised. Would have been great to see the skills of Corbett and the power of Ruby Rob close up.

these two for obviouse reasons, not just for the fight itself but the hype surrounding the fights before hand. But for some reason although its no where near as legendary over these two, i would have loved to been ringside-ish for Benn-Mcclellan, the whole event including build up and atmosphere in the arena that night was awesome

I am shocked by how many people here would waste this oportunity on a fight which was filmed.
