Just watched Bute v Andrade

    This is basically how I feel about it. Bute went down with less than 5 seconds left in the 12th round. Therefore, all Bute needed to do was make it to his feet by the count of 10 to win the fight, since obviously time would have expired before Andrade could follow up. But it seems to me that the clearly biased hometown referee wasn't aware of how little time was remaining on the clock, so he felt the need to give Bute an extended count. Had he not done so, I think a lot of controversy could have been avoided. The extended count made it seem as if he was buying time for Bute to recover by preventing Andrade from following up. When in actuality, the fight was over.

    Yeah, Bute had it won until he tried for an exciting 12th round knockout. Imagine trying to KO Andrade! :nut

    Do you think he will give Andrade a rematch?

    Embarrasing fight for Canada. of all the ****in countries to cheat. Well Quebec, they do things differently from us here in Ontario.

    My guess is it will sell out the Bell Centre.

    Who wouldn't want to see a rematch of the first fight?

    Well, you do nothing so that's already different. And when you do something, your guy is scared like a chicken and gets koed so early in the fight the ref can't do nothing. **** off man.

    Both corners knew the ref. He was even called by Andrade's coach a friend. The ending has been discussed many times. Take time to read the posts. The ref could have stopped it before but that's his judgment. How many times have you seen a ref stop a fight without a single good hit at the boxer? Bute was not out, he was exhausted, and Andrade was not een able to knock him. When Andrade was coming, Bute was till able to clinch, we call that to be able to defend ourself.

    Judgement call by the ref.Some would have stopped it,some wouldn't.He beat the count get over it.

    If Andrade wins against Tsypko and Bute wins his optional, it will happen for sure this year.

    Bute was clearly out on his feet before the knock down ... there was a devastating body blow (clean, clear straight right) that truly took the wind out of Bute sails.

    Based on that ... include the knock down ... the long 10 count ... and all the other bull**** in between ... Bute shouldve been stopped.

    He was getting hit with no response ... the ref didn't say show me something or anything ... I don't care if the fight was about to be over anyway ... you can't be saved by the bell at any point in a title fight.

    When Bute got up ... the ref shouldve looked at the gloss in his eyes and tell that he was on ***** street.

    Whats sad is that all the Euro fans(which Bute isn't) still aplaud his performance and dont admit to it. Thats what they call a champion, thats sad!
