Umm, that's the case for a lot of fights in the US. What percentage of the Pavlik fans or Cotto fans who buy the upcoming PPV will have seen Rubio or Jennings in action before? You're failing to differentiate between hardcore boxing fans and those who will sit down and watch an event occasionally that they've heard is going to be good.
55 Pac 45 Hatton. Hatton should take it, as his lasting impression to many fight fans at this point is him eating turnbuckle.
It's a whole different mentality thing over here. If you're a fan of a fighter (or a team or anything else) over here, you support them through thick and thin. Without trying to sound derogatory it's not like the US where outside of hardcore fans of the sport, many people will jump on a bandwagon and then jump straight off it just as quickly once the fighter loses or once the next "big thing" comes along.
Only those that don't know anything proper about the sport.
I know enough to say that his last fight was against an overrated turd and his last significant fight left a bad taste in his mouth...that of turnbuckle and canvas. :good
