Cotto: "You Will Never See Me Clinch"

Cotto is great but he is to ****ing proud for his own good.. You have to be smart as well in the ring and he needs to accept that Margarito is just stronger than him.. He needs to clinch instead or fighting backwards all night and try to circle him instead,give him angles..running back pedaling all night hat **** gets you tired and on top of that you have a ****ing punching machine behind your ass all night who doesn't even feel your punches... He also needs to make adjustments in his training camp.. Most of his sparring partners usually suck and he always has that attitude about not changing anything and that he leaves everything to his trainers and promotional company and that this is a fight just like any other.. If he keeps this up he will lose the rematch again and worst than the first time.. I hope not though... I like Cotto's style but he needs to tweak a few things.. his defense needs improvement as well.

 

If he was smart and clinched Margarito a few times from the mid rounds on, he may well have beaten him and been the #1 p4p by now.

 

Well I was thinking Cotto would come back strong but if this is really his philosophy he may just be another KO waiting to happen. Not clinching against Margarito was idiotic.

I really hope this is just part of his machismo so to say. He is being too proud for his own good if he doesnt clinch. If he could have clinched more against Margo it would have disrupted Margos pace a bit and maybe things could have gone another way. If he doesnt clinch more, Margo is going to beat him again and as a Cotto fan i do not want to see him get KO'd again although the chances are pretty high.
