i just dont get your logic hes been number 1 for years now its not as if its just happened i think pavlik is elite as well by the way
Fair enough; we have different definitions of elite. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of Hatton and even more so of Pavlik, but by my previous definition (top 10) neither is elite. Just a matter of semantics.
I don't consider him one of the 10 best boxers in the world at the moment. I'd have him around 12 or so. OK, good for them...
how can you say there is no size difference. In 46 fights, Ricky has never fought below Jr. Welterweight In 53 fights, Pac has fought once above Lightweight, and he's only fought twice in his career above Super Featherweight. There is no size difference?
No. He ducked a lot of fighters as he made his way through 140. Carefully managed career if you ask me.
No. For me the only fighters in the world who deserve the title of "elite" are Pacquiao, Marquez, Hopkins, Calzaghe, and Mayweather if he ever comes back. Possibly Vasquez too, he's a borderline. Hatton is in the next level down alongside guys like R.Marquez, Cotto, Margarito, Williams, Abraham, Calderon, Kessler, Haye, Dawson etc.
he didn't duck anyone at 140, he put off a fight with pbf becuase he wanted to fight in the US to build a name and make the fight bigger and then pbf moved up. so who else could he have ducked?
Yes....purely on his accomplishments. His skills would suggest otherwise but PAC was also in the same boat 3 or 4 yrs ago....lacking many polished skills yet still winning and preforming against ELITE level fighters and dominating lesser ones.
Yes. His only loss is to the then p4p champ PBF at a weight everybody already knew Hatton was **** at. We can all ***** about his style but he is a monster at 140lb. Before we get on to he beat an over the hill Tszyu and a has been someone else, if you believe half the threads on this board then every ****ing fighter apart from PBF and Pacman is past it, exposed or a has been! :tired
