I don't mean to offend anyone, but I think that is a ****ing ludicrous comment. I am a bit of a Cotto fan, but I think that is absurd. If he is lying on the canvas with Margarito standing over him sometime this year, maybe then he will realize why that has happened to him when it has never happened to Bernard Hopkins. I have a little admiration for his aesthetic convictions, sure I do, but I do not believe in it.
I hope that's all it is, but I'm not too sure. In order to beat Margo he MUST do some clinching. This kind of talk is not good news for Cotto fans.:verysad
Co-sign, but being a Cotto fan I don't think this is such a good thing, as it probably means Margo KO's him again. I hope I'm wrong though.
Damn.....in the interview he said he is coming down from 176,178.He said he was close to 190 at the time of the car accident.
He is telling the truth...thats the way he is....also, he was asked if he has watched the tapes of his fight with Margie. His reply was, " why do I need to watch them...I was there "
And Judah didn't throw any low ones against Gayweather. Fortuneately for Gayweather he didn't have anything down there to get hit.
Sounds like the philosphy of a soldier who says "I'll never carry a gun into combat; guns are for pussies."atsch
Taking a knee from utter exhaustion coupled with a pummeling and not clinching are two different animals. If you can't understand that...then try sticking that cheap cigar somewhere downstairs and maybe that will clear your mind....it appears that is where it is at for now.
You're right....but I think what he means is the ***** type of holding that Ruiz and Hopkins have mastered. If you recall in the Margie fight he did try to tie up Margies arms on a few occasions when he was stunned and the ref immediately broke it up.
