  1. I'm not doubting that but were talking about per capita ratings

    The greatest ever boxing nation {p4p} is Wales
    The 'Mighty Atom' also known as 'The Ghost With A Hammer In His Hand' Jimmy Wilde is a top 10 All Time Great {the greatest ever Flyweight}
    The 'Pride of Wales' Joe Calzaghe top 50 All Time Great {the greatest ever Super-Mid}
    'Freddie Welsh' aka Freddie Thomas top 100 All Time Great
    'Peerless' Jim Driscoll top 100 All Time Great
    The 'Welsh Wizard' Howard Winstone top 200 All Time Great
    Wales has also produced other great boxers/champions and the population of the country is only 2.9 million {less than most big cities around the World}

    You don't seem to understand what per capita means.

    Panama has a population of 3,000,000, the US has a population of 300,000,000. In the last 30 years Panamanian boxers have held 18 world titles. For the US to beat Panama on world titles per capita US boxers would have had to have won 1,800 world titles in the past 30 years :hi:

    Its USA , even with a population of 300M , BOXING is not a big sport at all in the USA, it would barely be top 10 in popularity.... where as Boxing is a staple sport in PR, the UK and Mexico .... Considering how many of our 300M actually care about boxing little lone partake in it.... its the USA

    This is a really stupid way to look at it... per capita? who cares... we are much more diverse than any other country on earth, we don't have the boxing culture that some other nations have...

    If you want to Look at it this way, I can say PER capita Los Angeles, New York or even youngstown is better P4P that the UK.

    Do you know some of the bumbs who beat hopkins? he lost his first fight, and around his 20th fight he lost to a man who went on to have a record of 1 win and 12 defeats, hopkins pulled out of a fight with calzaghe 8 years ago. At middle hopkins made his name out of blown up welter weights, he meets his first decent middle in jones and lost, then taylor and looses twice, he then move up in weight, skipping super middle, calzaghes weight what a suprise, beats an average tarver, fights another blown up fighter in winky, feels good at light heavy relises calzaghes hands are shot thinks calzages wont be any good at light heavy, calls him out and he lost! so i dont think peak hopkins would of beat calzaghe i dont even really know when he did peak, going by his quility of oponents then he peaked in the last 4-5 years.
