No way Khan hits harder then Naz...actually Naz didn't really get to Barrera so that's a fair comment!
I remember people saying Naseem punched harder than anyone Barrera had faced. Khan has great speed but I have seen him hurt to many times and there is no way Barrera wont tag him at all. Khan has been hurt v mediocre punchers and it doesnt take what Prescott had to stop him.
MAB gets old, an old 35yo natural 122lber against a MASSIVE 135lber in his prime. Khan's speed, size, workrate will be too much for Barrera at his age although Barrera will give him some shaky moments.
It will not be easy fight for khan. barrera is a tough costumer with a lot of experience on his back, if he really improve his game with roach guidance then he will win this one by SD or late KO. but I dont count out MAB chances maybe age and conditioning will be the key to this fight. youth against experience.
A more cautious Khan wil have enough speed and movement to keep away from MAB Khan also has enough power to get MABs respect during the fight. While at his best he would be too much for Khan, I think Barrea is far enough past his peak for Khan to win this by decision.
Khan has Roach in his corner. Roach is familiar with Barrera by now. Khan has the tools to make this a competitive fight. However, we do realize that Khan is stepping up his opposition big time. How would he react when he sees that MAB aint gonna fold when he gets hit? MAB is one tough mother****er. That being said, Im still going for MAB by decision.
Barrera by stoppage. For Chrissakes, he had a close fight with JMM and was competitive vs. P4P#1 PacMan, just wasn't aggressive enough to make it close. He's a faded MAB but definitely not a shot fighter. He retired on his own decision not because he was beat badly. Even this version of Barrera beats the current Amir Khan. It's too early especially a few months after his knockout loss. Come on!
Barrera isn't Barrera anymore!!! Remember by the time this happens, it will be 2 years since Barrera was fighting Marquez and 18months since he faced Pacquaio. In that time hes done nothing but get older, slower, more docile. Now hes in a new weight class against a prime, HUGE lightweight who is fast, with high workrate and movement
As long as Barrera literally doesn't through any punches, escpecially towards the head of Khan, he should be alright, unless roach wipes the sweat of his face too hard, which could knock him out.
